Do only the games you play during the 8 cycle rotation count towards scouting grounds restrictions?

I created a smurf to try and qualify for scouting grounds with since my main (Vchee) was a one trick Asol account and I thought it would be disqualified. However, I was looking over the rules and realized that Riot doesn't seem to care about any games played before the 8 cycle rotation started. My main is higher elo and would be easier to try and qualify for scouting grounds with so I'm looking for confirmation from Riot that it would be fine for me to try and qualify on my main, so long as I followed the one trick rules during the 8 week cycle.
