How could I interest my college in Starting an Esport team? (UAA)
I just found out about it today so I thought what better a place to ask than here (and reddit).

I'm the esports coordinator at my campus and we just started our program this year. It is an official program, not just a group of people getting together and making a team. The school paid for our equipment, allowed us to use a dedicated facility on campus, etc. All situations are different and schools can commit in a variety of ways (depending on how they feel about esports). I would suggest doing some research on esports for your campus (interest levels) then create a proposal that lays out in detail what would be involved in an esports program. Do you best to make it as serious as possible. There are tons of leagues you can compete in. While you don't have to register your club/program/etc. with Riot, they will hook you up with things from time to time...message me if you want to know more.
find interested parties, go to the Deans office (think its Dean in america right?) ask him/her and profit, its pretty simple then register with riot.
Most eSports clubs hate league though. So a lot of schools have a league club separate from their esports club.
