Currently at worlds it feels like most mid laners are fairly non impactful when late game hits, and results in which teams ad is better. So this got me thinking about which mid laners might be viable to counter the huge health stacking tanks, and the only one i can think of is Brand.
So is Brand secret op, or is their some underlying issue with him which can cause him to be abused easily?

For real though, a problem for a lot of losing teams is (winning too) late game it is literally a stack of 5 running towards a stack of 3-5 (for some reason one team always has someone doing something else). It isn't a splitpush meta. So maybe Brand ult can scare some of these huge groups.
Nitelite1 votesMost of the tanks are building righteous glory so the tanks can just run at people. One of brands main buys is... RYLAIS! So i don't understand why we aren't seeing him to counter the cho or maokai engages.
Anyways, heres hoping that my reasoning is correct and we see brand later on.
Maszii1 votesWell its pretty easy. Brand would probably get destroyed in lane by a good mid/jungle. But yeah he does give a lot of % damage. Also good for baron.

Ryze has a lot more waveclear early so does taliyah. Ryze also has a speedboost which he can quite reliable catch, taliyah has working ground which makes her faster. Brand has no mobility whatsoever.
