MSI spoilers when logging into the game client!!

I'm halfway through watching the semifinals and logged in to play a game; and the client has the two participants in the final plastered on there in unmissable icons. WTF Riot?! Why in hell would you put that kind of a spoiler in a place where it will be the first thing seen by literally anyone logging in. You can advertise the finals matchup without ruining it for the people who do care about it but are less than 24 hours behind (Especially when the matches took place in the middle of the night for the western world). Really boneheaded move. item 3070

The thing that gets me is the way Riot baits us - seeing the new tab on the client for MSI information meaning you can remain spoiler-free in the main client page made me think it was safe to log into the client, since if they care about spoiling it for people who are behind watching the matches, they wouldn't plaster the winners all over the front page as soon as the event's over?? That's the MOST IMPORTANT part not to spoil!! Why waste time creating a two-tab client and then go and ruin it at the end?? Makes no sense to me. And I'm pretty annoyed the excitement's gone for me in the should-be most exciting games; the semis & finals (I have exams so really can't afford to watch six hours of League at a time...).

They've basically been doing this since they showcase tournaments on the Home Client. Its sad that they really dont care for people who might be busy during the times when the tournaments are happening. But there is nothing we can do especially since this is an ongoing habit of theirs. The best you can do for the future is to just watch it before even logging in. I highly doubt they'd stop especially since its advertisement.

Except some people want to know if the finals are worth watching tonight. The fact of the matter is that the rebroadcast was already over when they put the finals count down.

Just cause you are watching vods does not mean that riot should worry about spoilers. They at least waited to the offical scoreboard was already done.

I'm with you, I have a very limited amount of time in which to both watch and play League. I just logged in to play a little while watching the second semifinal and there it is. I was hoping that having an esports tab would be enough to protect me but now I know that Riot doesn't really care about keeping us free from spoilers, much less encouraging us to play while not up to date.
