It’s about to go down! Teams are about to hit the Rift and throw down for glory and international bragging rights at Rift Rivals 2017.

From what I can understand, much like the actual teams they're trying to keep the casting balanced, so instead of sending all of NA's high-quality casters (captainflowers, tom) they sent a bunch of average ones to try and keep things even. The fact they aren't sending any of their newer ones is still massively dissapointing though, as I clearly remember dash saying something about how international experience makes younger players better domestically, this same logic potentially being applied to casting as well.

He's been casting NACS for most of the past year and a half, and without dom forcing him into awkward silver-5/transformers discussions (every time I remember him saying "Tomtimus Prime" it instantly makes me cringe) has been pretty decent.

WHERE is MarkZ? #takeMark

He is BY FAR my favorite League of Legends Sports Caster. He brings his knowledge and experience to the commentary and always has very good technical + tactical input on both the "Macro" and "Micro" level of strategy and play-making. MarkZ provides excellent commentary input to the point where I can just watch the matches and listen to his commentary and I am always learning and able to pick up on new and very useful information and tactics + strategies to focus on in my own play-style. Plus I like how he makes sure to mention that certain scenarios and team compositions that these Pro-Teams are able to make work are not always going to be feasible options or worth-while plays in SoloQ games, and won't always actually work out in considering the team-makeup and lack of cooperation that normally exists and goes along with playing in SoloQ games and random players that don't always work together to synergize.

Not to mention he has a much better since of humor than the other Sports Casters, without a doubt he has the best jokes compared to any of the other NA Sports Casters.

Where is Achilios? That RR Red squad is nearly perfect but it's missing the other half of the dynamic LCK duo

It really feels like Atlus will just replace Achillios full time at some point. Achillios does Overwatch, too (I believe). PapaSmithy has a knack to drive a point home during a cast to make sure he is right, which can get rather irritating/annoying. It shows no matter who is his partner (Achillios/Atlus/etc.), but Achillios is probably more tired of it. Wouldn't be surprised if he stopped casting LCK after this split.

Find it odd that all guest(?) commentators are EU (Prolly, Trashy, Amazing). Where are there no NA player/coaches that are in the on-air talent?

When has Trashy and Prolly played/coached in NA? Amazing was on TSM.

Prolly originated from NA and played there until 2015. He was most known for playing on compLexity. Trashy played for like 2 splits I think back in 2015 on NME.
