Luck or No

After winning Worlds 2017 they are showing bad results in Groups stage in Worlds 2018. So, winning against SKT last year for the World championship is just a luck?

No! SKT won 2013 worlds but wasn't able to compete in the 2014 Worlds - but they still won 2015, 2016 and competed in the 2017 Worlds, luck? The game has evolved from player skill, macho/micro to just "champion" skill each game. NA/EU/LPL are only beating the LCK teams because Riot's trying to make each region strong to compete.

Gotta remember there's a whole year of stuff that happened in between. Whole meta changes, new game tempo, all that jazz. It's easy to question why they couldn't win here compared to last year but every reason has a storyline to it.

The meta was very conducive to their style of play last year. This year, it isn't.
Everyone saw their run through the gauntlet and thought well here we go. But that Gen G didn't show up. The Gen G that had problems in spring and summer showed up.
