How can Team Liquid Make it to worlds

So I only started watching esports for like a few months and team liquid seems to be my favorite team . As you know they lost to TSM in the summer playoffs and lost the chance of getting first seed into worlds. So is it possible for them to get 2nd or 3rd seed?

Yes. If CLG loses to TSM(most likely will happen), they get the #2 seed. If CLG wins, they go to regional qualifiers, and can go to World's by winning that for the 3rd and final seed.

oooh thanks ! But isnt 2nd seed the most points obtained from both summer and spring split, so doesnt liquid have more points than all the other teams? 50 + 90 = 140

TSM is guaranteed 180.

The 3rd slot is a gauntlet between the other 4 teams with points. If CLG wins, TL with 120 points, is in the #1 seeding for the regional.

They have the 2nd most atm, TSM having the most. So if TSM loses to CLG, CLG get the AQ as #1 seed, then TSM would get #2, since they would have the most circuit points (180) and TL plays qualifiers for 3rd seed. Now if TSM win, TL now has the most points with TSM excluded, so TL would get #2 seed, and CLG have to play regionals for 3rd seed.

Edit: Also, TL have 120 points, not 140.

If CLG wins, then TSM has more points than TL and goes as 2nd seed

TL is automatically in Worlds if TSM wins the NA finals. If CLG wins, then TL will have to face whoever wins between TiP and the winner of GV vs C9. The winner of TL's match goes to Worlds.
