Gaming and eSports Social Networking Website Launches Beta in January 2015

Gamers Beard helps professional and amateur gamers manage their gaming careers, connect with other gamers, and find an esports team. Gamers Beard also gives team managers and gaming community leaders the ability to create pages for their organizations, manage player schedules, host tournaments, and recruit players.

Austin, Tex. (January 5, 2015) -- Gamers Beard is excited to announce that they have officially released the beta version of their esports social networking website. An esports social network is a website that focuses on connecting professional, amateur, and casual gamers to esports teams and gaming communities. Gamers Beard began development in July of 2014 and allowed users to sign up shortly after. Since then, their user base has grown by over 60% each month. Their competitive advantage that separates them from other gaming websites is their unique capability for a user to manage teams, make posts that other gamers can view, connect with other gamers, create an esports profile, and host tournaments all within one site. Gamers Beard also lets users connect to the popular streaming site Twitch, which allows their friends to see when they are actively streaming. Gamers Beard is used by all types of gamers including console, PC, and card gamers. The gamer profiles include a picture of the gamer, the games that the gamer is currently playing, the gamer’s past gaming experience, and their gaming skills. In addition to the gamer profiles, creating a team gives the gamer the ability to host tournaments, schedule events, send out text and email reminders, list team sponsors, chat with other team members, and recruit other gamers.

Gamers Beard is led by CEO and Co-founder Erik Wantland from Austin, Texas. Wantland previously founded Imperium eSports, an amateur esports organization. When asked about the future of Gamers Beard Wantland said, “We are currently working on translating the site into Korean to reach the huge number of gamers in Korea, as well as developing features for cosplayers to showcase their pictures and artwork.”

Wantland continued, “Our goal has always been to create something that makes it easier for gamers to break into the competitive esports scene and we believe that due to the incredible feedback we have received from hundreds of gamers in all areas of esports, we have done exactly that.”

Gamers Beard is joined by several partners including Knova Gaming, Monstar Kittenz, Escalate Legion Gaming, Olympus Gamerz, Pajamaman, and NatashaWasha. To sign up for Gamers Beard and become a part of esports history, visit https://www.gamersbeard.com
