Origen Vs. Fnatic

Pick Ban Origen ban: Rumble Jayce Ryze Fnatic ban: Alistar Thresh Morgana

Origen bans: Rumble and Jayce these bans targeting Huni. Huni hasn’t played Jayce in professional play but has been playing it in solo-queue also Jayce can be targeted at Febiven. The Ryze ban doesn’t make sense. Blue side should never be banning Ryze.

Fnatic bans: Alistar Thresh Morgana. All of these bans targeting Mithy. I think this is a reasonable idea from Fnatic. I think they feel Mithy is the person to target since he has played mostly Alistar and Thresh and make them first pick a support because of all the support bans and pick up power picks elsewhere since Yellowstar’s Champion pool is very big.

Origen: Heciram Fnatic: Ekko Kalista Origen: Gragas Azir Fnatic: Janna Olaf Origen: Sivir Annie Fnatic: Victor

Final Draft

I think the draft was weird from both sides playing Azir is like playing a protect the carry composition which Heciram wants to dive and so does Gragas only leave Annie to peel which she only has he stun. The dive from Ekko and Olaf is very big AP and AD. From all the slows it is going to be hard for Sivir to pick which spell to activate her spell shield on. I think early game Amazing has to provide a lot of pressure around the map to keep the Olaf at bay. I think Reksia would be a stronger pick but Reignover does play Olaf a lot in solo queue and is a comfort pick for him. Also a side note a lot of Korean Junglers still play Jarvan and Rengar even though they are out of the Meta.

Early Game

1 min in a skirmish breaks out a lot of summoner spells are burned but no first blood. Spells that were used, Janna’s ignite, Kalista heal, Olaf ghost, and Ekko flash for Fnatic. Origen burned Gragas flash, and Azir heal, Origen “ahead”.

Lane Swap Huni gets bullied out of lane early. Fast tower pushes each side. Fnatic takes an early dragon at 4:15. Reignover finds Gragas in the death brush top side river and takes a hit but everyone collapses on him a massive fight takes out in top side river over this skirmish. Ekko gets first blood on Heciram, Sivir then kills Ekko, Kalista then kills Gragas, Sivir then kills Olaf, Kalista kills Sivir, and then Victor Kills Annie. Origen retreats. A very messy 6 min skirmish. Kills for Kalista, Victor, and Ekko. Whereas Sivir only picks up 2 kills. Sivir with 2 kills is good but not optimal. Sivir having those kills doesn’t make it impossible to lane with the Kalista, but her team is going to suffer because of how Sivir doesn’t have the carry potential. And a 1.6k gold lead for Fnatic.

After skirmish the lanes go back to standard except the adc’s/supports are top side instead of botside. This is in favor of Fnatic because Fnatic bot lane of Kalista Janna is stronger right now than the Sivir Annie because of that skirmish. Febiven and Reignover roam top side. They kill Sivir.

Second dragon fight Azir steals the drake. Sivir kills Olaf. Heciram teleports in. Febiven steps forward too much gets caught out. Febiven dies to Sivir. Ekko kills Azir by bottom side red Buff. Kalista picks up a kill on Annie. The rest of the team collapses on Kalista and Ekko but a very good monsoon saves Ekko and Kalista. End of the fight Fnatic are a head again because of where the kills are going.

Mid Game

After the dragon fight, Origen takes all of the outer tier turrets where as Fnatic has to take down the mid lane turret. As of right now just farming and scaling takes place, which is in favor of Fnatic due to the champions choices. Origen takes their second drake third drake of the game with no contest. Huni stays bot side pushes waves then roams mid, Olaf and Ekko then kill Sivir and burn the Heciram teleport. Ekko gets the Baron, and picks up a kill on Heciram and Gragas. Fnatic then picks up their second drake. Things to take notice in this fight, Heciram doesn’t smite baron he smites Kalista and Janna keeps Gragas out with a monsoon. Once again very good play by Yellowstar using that spell defensively. Gold lead to Fnatic 46k to 40k and a 10 – 4 kill lead as well. Fnatic take outer tier mid turret with the Baron buff. Origen tries to retaliate by taking a turret tier 2 mid turret and a skirmish breaks out no deaths. Kalista is able to take bot lane tier two turret.

End Game

Fnatic gets drake 3 then Baron. Heciram gets caught out and they chase him and finally get the kill. Normally chases like that aren’t a good idea but the way lanes were it was okay due to the fact Origen couldn’t pick anything up. Fnatic sieges bot they get turret and inhibitor. They also pick up a kill for Kalista on the Heciram. Kalista gets caught out and then they pick up four kills only losing Ekko. Fnatic gets a Nexus turret as well. Fnatic gets fourth drake. Ekko gets a little too aggressive and dives Azir and is killed by Sivir but does secure the kill on Azir. Gragas gets caught out and is stunned by Victor. Olaf picks up a kill on Heciram and Victor kills Annie leaving only Sivir up. Fnatic pushes down the remaining mid turret and inhibitor and win the game.

Final Thoughts

I think Xpeke played okay on the Azir that his team didn’t play with it well. He needs a lot of peel and needs to be protected but the comp he is in doesn’t allow that. Ekko and Olaf can get to that back line. Olaf’s ult does make him immune to Crowed control so Annie can’t stun him. Ekko is going to try and flank using the teleport homegaurd and his abilities favor him getting there. For everyone wondering about the Olaf pick in this game the champion didn’t really do anything out of the ordinary. He didn’t need to because of how the rest of his team performed, he could have played Reksia and the game would have stayed the same way.

Post your opinions.

When you take Olaf jungle and win, you know you are the best team in your region.
