LCS Summer Finals heading to NYC and Stockholm in August

Riot·Jun 1, 2015·2 votes·106,458 views

From the Big Apple to Venice of the North, we’re hitting the road! As we head into the Summer Split, we’re taking our NA LCS Summer Finals to New York City with our EU Finals hitting Stockholm on August 22 and 23.

Start spreadin’ the news...League’s coming to NYC!

It’s a long awaited trip to the East Coast for the LCS, so we’re going big and hosting this year’s final at the legendary Madison Square Garden on August 22 and 23, in association with Tribeca Games (the team behind the Tribeca Film Festival).

The Garden has been host to countless historic sports and entertainment events over the course of its 136 year existence - and we can’t wait to add League’s best teams from North America to its history. To celebrate our visit to NYC, we’ll be throwing a party worthy of Madison Square Garden’s hallowed halls. Alongside the onstage action of NA LCS’ best teams battling it out for a spot at the 2015 World Championships along with a third/fourth place matchup, there'll be activities onsite including hosting cosplayers, and other League-related attractions.

Celebrating EU’s best in the City on the Water

Over in EU we’ll be taking the action to fans in Stockholm, where European’s finest will be going head to head onstage at the Hovet Arena on the same weekend as our NA Summer Finals.

Ahead of Worlds 2015 in central Europe, we’ll be visiting Nordic fans and hosting our EU finals and third/fourth place clash in an arena legendary for high adrenaline ice hockey battles. After testing the mettle of ambitious amateur teams in our upcoming Nordic Open, we’re looking forward to showcasing the best of our 2015 EU contenders to fans throughout the region before we head over to central Europe for Worlds.

As with our Finals in New York, we’ll be sprinkling in extra League experiences and memories for our Stockholm attendees with cosplay and community activities under the Hovet Arena roof. Check back within the next few weeks for more details.

We’re ready to celebrate the end of an amazing LCS season with finals showdowns and third/fourth place matchups in NYC and Stockholm on the same weekend! Planning to join us on August 22 and 23?

Ticket information for both the NA event and EU event are now available.

Actually that law only states to Product labeling, and Governments. Aside from that there is no legal obligation to others to use french.

Please read This Wiki Article about the Canadian law on French and English.

Oh here it comes. Lets just get the stereotypes out of the way.

We all moosepool to work down the snow covered wood road to work at the lumbermill, have breakfast and lunch at Tim Hortons, buy our toques at Roots, and when we are done work, we hang out at the maple shack and have maple toffee before going home. We karaoke with Justin Bieber and Celine Dion before heading home to our family of 5 where we eat poutine and flapjacks while watching the hockey game. We say how proud we are to live in such a wonderful country, and kiss our son goodnight as he prays that we get the gold medal in women's hockey again this year (He is far too young to fully understand how little women's hockey means in the grand scheme of things). We read our TV guide to see what time the Leafs play against Tampa Bay, and say goodnight to our wife. Her teeth are gastly. We sleep dreaming of how well this summer is, and how great it will be when the temperature goes below -5 degrees celsius and the snow piles 3 meters high.

Can we all move on now?

That makes you a maximum of 6 years old now.

Sounds legit.

That being said, I don't even live there and even I know an event in Canada would be fantastic.

Bring it to Chicago next year! We just had the NFL draft and look how that turned out :)

Will of the SonJun 1, 20156 votes

I would make a joke about Chicago murders but I'm not a racist jerk like some people in the world... it could be good for the city but I'd rather have it come to Kansas City in the Midwest or Dallas.

MercofAnubisJun 1, 201518 votes

Last time i checked Chicago was a city not a race.

Dear Riot: I love you guys, I really do, but when you make an announcement like this I need to be able to get event tickets right then because I have to arrange time off from work (during the summer school break- it's not like everyone at work hasn't already put in for time) , transportation and housing booking- which I cant do until I get an event ticket. Actually multiple tickets since there is a group of us. Please start selling event tickets ASAP. thank you

Josh SandJun 1, 20157 votes

Yea man me too. It made PAX the utlimate gamer event on the west coast imo. I am bummed PAX dropped this event, but it makes sense considering this event was starting to overshadow a lot of the convention, cuz honestly LCS > all.
