The Breakdown with Jatt: Realm Warp

This week on The Breakdown we decided to do an episode on Ryze's ultimate, Realm Warp. This skill has always had a ton of potential, and as pro teams learn more and more about the ability, the depth of the plays that are being executed with it seems to be higher than ever.

We wanted to do an episode that showcased the depth of some of the decision making around Realm Warp -- and show how hard it is to actually play against teams and players using Ryze to his full potential. Caps had some epic plays, there was an incredible usage of Ryze ult in a CBLoL game, and there have even been great uses of the ability at Worlds and in EU regional Qualifiers.

Ultimately, we chose to focus the episode mostly on TSM Bjergsen’s Ryze as he had consecutive uses of the ability in one game and it strongly correlated with TSM’s victory over TL in Week Two. This doesn’t make other uses of Realm Warp any less impressive, but being able to string together a story from one particular game made for a stronger narrative.

Plus, it’ll be a fun episode to look back on when Ryze gets reworked again. ;)
