Team Dignitas at All-Star 2014

Team Dignitas, currently in fourth place on the NA LCS standings, needs an upward swing this season. Their record, 9-11, is the best indicator of the season and the team's inconsistencies thus far. But despite their lackluster performance in the first half of the season, this was once a world-class team with all the individual talents of a top tier squad. It would not be surprising if Dignitas put together another scorching win streak similar to their first 6-game stretch in the NA LCS that was highlighted by a decisive victory over Cloud 9. Now, all Team Dignitas needs is momentum.

TOP: Cruzerthebruzer

He's the anchor for the top lane. The newcomer for Dignitas may be its most popular player even before he signed with the team. A solo queue star, fan-favorite streamer, and top lane highlight reel, Ogden's individual star power is strong. A bruiser by champion select, his Lee Sin remains one of the top threats in NA play. In addition, his Dr. Mundo, Renekton, and Trundle all wreak havoc on opposing lineups. He's a matchup nightmare with his unpredictability. A player that uses the mentality of high-risk/high reward with a team that encourages the style, Ogden is one of the elite top laners in the NA LCS. If fans enjoy high-risk play in the top lane coupled with tanky champion selections, Cruzerthebruzer is a great selection for the All-Star Challenge.

JUNGLE: Crumbzz

The most versatile player in the Dignitas lineup, Crumbzz brings an aggressive side to the jungle. His rotations and love for early game advantages start off the Dignitas momentum in every game, positive or negative. It is through Crumbzz' jungle play and ganks that Scarra and Cruzerthebruzer are best optimized to crush their respected lanes. Originally a fan of bruiser/tanks for jungle champs, Crumbzz' expanded his champion pool to succeed with Elise and Vi in addition to Lee Sin and Nocturne. It is his vast skill set and knowledge of various champions' strengths that automatically puts him in the discussion for fan favorite among NA junglers.

MID: Scarra

Scarra is the key to any Dignitas victory. When facing Dignitas, "Don't feed Scarra in the middle lane," is usually the top priority in scouting reports. He's a momentum monster. One kill snowballs into a winning lane and then into a winning game. Scarra may use more defensive champions than most mid-laners, but his success rate with them warrants the choice. Scarra is a destructive force in every team fight. He's a player that needs to be shut down early. His champion selection ranges from his signature Gragas to an ever-improving Karthus. If the argument of middle lane selection for the All-Star Challenge boils down to: who's the best with momentum? Scarra is the clear-cut choice.

AD CARRY: imaqtpie

The cutest player on Dignitas may also be its most talented. Look beyond those luscious locks and you'll see the man behind the damage of Dignitas' team fights. A master of skill shots, his champion pool reflects this: Lucian, Jinx, and Caitlyn. When momentum changes hands in DIG's favor, it is likely that imaqtpie's long-ranged attacks and skill shots had a play in the matter. While not a laning or farming pro by any means, imaqtpie's signature plays come through in the execution of perfect teamfight kills. A fan-favorite because of the exciting plays that come about as a result of his mouse clicks, and friendly (and often trolly) personality, imaqtpie routinely lights up team fights and highlight reels - with a smile.

SUPPORT: KiWiKiD

The other half of the bottom lane duo, KiWiKiD's aggressive support style is unorthodox and exciting to watch. His most-used champions, Annie and Thresh, are built to his style of greedy support play that many emulate but cannot replicate. It is through his execution and initiation that KiWiKiD garners the majority of fan appreciation - he's the start and sometimes the finish of many Dignitas fights. When looking at KiWiKiD's play, boring and "by-the-book" won't be the first terms describing it. Regardless of who you choose, there’s bound to be some excellent play come All-Star Paris 2014 in May. Voting begins on Sunday, March 30th. Be sure to check out lolesports.com as the date approaches, as we’ll be sure to post more info on the format and voting process. But most of all, vote to show your support for your favorite players and teams!

I hate to say it, but this year the only player on Dignitas who should even be considered for an All-Star position is Crumbzz, and even that is unlikely when he has Meteos to compete against. scarra has not performed at his best this season thus far, and kiwikid and cruzer are unfortunately among the weakest players in the NA LCS currently. This is all quite difficult for me to admit as a Dignitas fan, but I feel that I have to be honest here. I think scarra was most definitely deserving of his All-Star position last year, but as Saintvicious has proved to us, a lot can change in a year...

Dig are arguably an all-star team. But with TSM, C9, and CLG in the conversation. The definition of all-star changes slightly. Dig may have the potential to be #1 Na. But until they achieve consistency, only their fans will believe it.

I'm sorry but there is no way in hell anyone in Dignitas is going to all stars. They've consistently failed to perform and overall, they're just a bad team
