Over the past several weeks, the world has paid witness to some of the finest League of Legends play in the game's history -- and the moments of brilliance have been startling. The Final consists of one triumphant Best of 5 series between the two battle-hardened teams that emerge from the Semifinal. After running the international gauntlet, here are the contenders still left standing: The team that emerges victorious from the Final series earns the right to claim League of Legends' highest honor: the coveted Summoner's Cup. They'll also take their place in history, with the players' individual names being etched onto the trophy right alongside former World Champions Fnatic, TPA, and SK Telecom T1 K. (You can learn more about these teams and their victories in the riveting Road to Worlds documentary.)

Every year it seems that things get closer. Look firstly just at the level of play in NA and you can see a huge improvement, but even in other regions lots of teams have been really stepping it up and this worlds I'd say there wasn't a huge skill gap between most of the teams (with a few exceptions). While NA is out now :( they made a much better showing than last year and I'm looking forward to a close finals (fingers crossed). A lot of people see a game where say Hai has 5 less kills than his opponent mid laner and say "Oh see? that guy's so inferior" but really at this high level play, they're all pretty close in skill and it really comes down to the champs, teams, communication, and split second decision. So while scores may vary widely I felt that very few games showed one side far and away better than the other.

NA showed up this year. Both Cloud9 and TSM represented NA well. Both went against the top favorites to win the tournament and both teams took a game off their opponents in the series they played in. Considering none of the EU teams even made it out of Groups, I believe NA proved that the region is competitive enough to play on the international stage.
