Mr. Nice Guy: LMQ's XiaoWeiXiao on his place in the LCS

Riot·8/30/2014, 12:20:59 AM·1 votes·20,635 views
XiaoWeiXiao has come a long way - both in terms of his play and attitude - since he first came over to the NA LCS from China. While he may be extremely competitive as the mid laner for LMQ, he's also a great sport, cheering on his fellow LCS competitors from the sidelines. He's learned a lot during his short stint in America, and it's clear that he's trying his best to be ready to represent the NA LCS in Korea. Check out this video to see XiaoWeiXiao talk about his experiences in the NA LCS - as well as what others think of him. Then head down to the comments section and let us know if you think LMQ has what it takes to make it to Worlds.

I'll be honest, I've been trying really hard to dislike LMQ, simply because I think that importing a whole team from a different region is somewhat demeaning to the NA LCS as a whole (It feels like they are coming because they will have more success, stemming from lesser competition here). I don't think I can even try any more. The whole of LMQ has been showing consistent effort to fit in, to make friends, and just generally be a team that not only fans, but their competitors can respect and interact with in a positive manner. I really appreciate what they have done to truly become a NA LCS team and not just a transplant looking for wins in a different region. LMQ, you have my respect and support.

I wasn't sure what i'd think of LMQ as i saw them come to the LCS, but they proved to be a great team and i think they deserve to go to worlds with how strong they have been playing this split. XiaoWeiXiao is also a really nice guy.

I have no problem with LMQ coming over to America, its called business, the team was 6th place in LPL (with a completely different roster besides NoName) in Summer 2013, they come to NA and get 3rd Summer 2014, it was smart of them, the team helped improve the NA Pro scene I feel, making them improve.

The LMQ players have tried hard to learn the English language, get used to the American culture, so I give them credit for that, if they wanted to they could have not learned any English besides Hello and Thank You.

The only thing is it is a bit embarrassing that a middle of the pack pro team from China comes over and gets into Worlds.

I think they are too spineless to play in China, so they come to America. Even they can go to the world but I don't think they can go to far.

There is no place for racial discussions in E-sports...after all we are all human and should accomplish our dreams and goals wherever we want. Dont make geographical borders mental borders!

Like honestly, XiaoWeiXiao is a great guy and I do hope the best for them. I'm rooting for CRS all the way, but I'd like to see LMQ go far. I was actually hoping CRS would face LMQ because of our match history with them. But nope!: (

I really really like LMQ but I want TSM and Curse to get to Worlds, but even if LMQ make it I don't think that I would mind that much :')
