LemonNation still sees room for improvement

“I don’t think we’ve turned it around yet at all.” Daerek "LemonNation" Hart and his Cloud9 teammates may have just taken down Team8 in their first match of Week 3, but they’re not resting on their laurels. “I think overall we’ve slowly been getting back up there,” he says. “We’re definitely not perfect. Even though we won our last game, we’re still not perfect.” As for Lemon himself, he’s got a very specific way that he’s looking to improve the team. “The most I can do to make sure the team is winning is to make sure we’re on top of the meta and on top of the current champions and how the game is played as much as possible. Basically, I try to talk to the rest of the team individually and work through what champions we think are going to be strong.” He does that by “looking at what’s being played around the world and trying to see what we can pick up that would be good for our team. And asking [my teammates] what they think is strong and what’s working in solo queue.” Once in game, it’s up to him to decide how the early moments of the match are played out. He’s looking for 2 vs. 1 swaps, early vision, and other early strategic maneuvers. This week, they managed to transition a small early lead into win over Team8. It wasn’t a clean victory, however, and Lemon knows that will have to change as the 2015 Season wears on. “We’ve still got a lot of mistakes that could be improved upon.
