Hey guys, I found a saying that there is a possibility for LoL and Esports in general to take part in the 2030 Winter Olympics. The decision will be made on the 1st of Jan 2016 at 11.00 am UTC. However, the candidates are : CS:GO, DOTA 2, Hearthstone, WoT and League of legends. Can LoL beat all these games and actually win the quota or does CS:GO has more chances of winning that ?
I mean, they could include all of them.
Maybe I'd actually pay attention to the Winter Olympics then. I'm a pretty big sports fan and even I find it lame.
Seems almost impossible that LoL will still be a popular game by 2030.
People will eventually get bored of it and move on to something else I assume, and the money will go wherever the viewers are.
Lol....how does League of Legends or any of these games have anything to do with Olympic Games and the Olympic thought?
League is the most popular and biggest Esport so would make sense for it to win IF they vote yes for esports which i cannot currently see happening.
Although I do not see videogames becoming a part of the Olympic games, it would be pretty sweet to see all of the best gamers in the world play their games at one location for their countries of citizenship. The E-lympics!
