Why not use snapchat?

I want to talk about something, that I think is missing and could help Riot. Thank you for your time 

RIOT is a great user of Social Media, especially when it comes to reaching out to players who plays League Of Legends. RIOT uses Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, forums and much more, when reaching out to the players, and being active with the players is something RIOT it also very good at.

However, from my perspective I think that RIOT are forgetting a big platform, which will reach out to more players. As a huge League Of Legends + Esport fan, I would love to get behind the scene of Riot, tournaments, Cons and more. A great way to do that, it to use Snapchat. I know that RIOT made a Snapchat account named Official LCS, but I have not seen much of it at all, which is super sad. However, I have seen that Instagram is being used as well, which made a “wannabe snapchat”. Most people do not use the “wannabe snapchat”, and Snapchat will still be the leading platform. A Danish Digital Trend expert says that, Snapchat will still be the head of Stories, because Instagram and Snapchat focus on two different groups. Therefore, I think it would be a good plan to use Snapchat a lot more. If we look at it statistically, there is over 100 million daily active users, which spent around 20 minutes a day being on snapchat. That is many people, and many of those people could be watching League Of Legends content on Snapchat. Over 1 billion snapchat stories is being seen every day. Therefor is think it sad that RIOT do not use Snapchat more often. I do know that some League of Legends Casters or Professional Players use snapchat, but we only get to see a little part of “Behind the scenes”, because they mostly are busy and focusing on using Twitter. If I would look at my male friends, most of them use Snapchat because their friends do and it is fun to snap together, compared writing to each other on Twitter. Snapchat has good chain effect.

My point is that using Snapchat could increase RIOTS social media number. As I said earlier, Snapchat could be used to show behind the scenes, Cons and more, but also give out any information about a fan meet or “Remember to buy tickets”. A good idea could be that someone from each country are able to use the Snapchat account. It could be fun to see how every country celebrate LCS Finals, because in Denmark the finals will be held at one the biggest cinemas, which is a huge upgrade from last year. I know around the world that many bars actually shows tournaments, which could be fun to watch as well on Snapchat.

As a huge snapchat fan, this is something I would love to do myself. I have been using Snapchat since it came out in 2011. It is also the reason why I write this email, because I know which impact Snapchat has. I got more informations about myself, but I will not post it online :)

I hope you will consider my idea, and maybe you have been thinking about using snapchat, which I myself would be excited about.
