I've been playing lol for about a year now and I'm Turing 17 this year. I'm a junior looking into colleges and was wondering how this whole thing works. I'm also wondering if it could maybe work around football becuase every one has a dream.

If it's just collegiate LoL, there's been a rising trend of LoL clubs at various universities. Most of them are pretty relaxed and fun from what I hear.
However, if it's competitive collegiate LoL, a good amount of university clubs compete in the uLOL Campus Series for a chance at quite an amount of scholarship money. The tournament happens throughout the spring so it may not intervene with football unless you're aiming for a spot on a competitive roster. Depending on how intense your schedule may be, I'm sure that won't be a problem. As for how experienced you need to be, it's far more lenient in requirements than that of LCS level. After skimming their 2017 handbook, I didn't see a particular ranked ladder requirement (although it's recommended to be somewhere in mid Gold or higher).
Hey mate so here at Lees McRae College we just now offer scholarships for LoL. Although we don't have a football team here. Again more and more clubs are stepping up now.
