does Anyone know if Forg1ven will be back?

So i've seen so much hype about this player in the past. People calling him the best adc in the west. Him getting actually respected as an equal by one of the biggest shit talkers in the game being doublelift. and critics at the time placing him as high as top 3 in the world.

I know at one point he had to go to military service but thats a long time ago already.

Does anyone know if Forg1ven will ever make a return to eu lcs, or if he returned to LCS anywhere?

i know he'd most likely not be in a good condition after being in the army for really long. but with a player this hyped up and mechanically skilled i feel like competition in europe could spice up even more.

has he just lost his competative edge after military service?

Was he perhaps overhyped as a player?

But most importantly will we ever see him back?

Don't think he had to join the military, i think he got exempted of it, i remember seeing him stream on twitch not too long ago.

Whether or not he will be back will be up to him and whatever team would be willing to accept him... Idk much on this but i think he was toxic to just about every team he's been on... don't quote me on that as im not too sure.

Isn't Forgiven Greek or something, either way I think fans sent letters to the Greece military letting Forgiven play, instead of joining the military and serving his time so that he could play League of Legends. I'v seen a few videos of him in solo Q in a dark a$$ room but no word on him possibly coming back. Best ADC in the Western scene, I can see him being really high up there but his "teamwork" is something that hasn't ever been there, hint why he was on so many teams in the past.
Top 3 in the world at any point of time is really stretching and reaching as I personally don't think he's top 10 in the WORLD now or even then(2013-15/16). Talks/rumors of him possibly joining FlyQuest at the start of Summer Split 2017 but the rumors went silent.

He could be back, I would never say never but there are somethings that stop him from coming back or being picked up by some teams.

  1. His personality and rage issues, similar to Dardoch, he may get offers from teams and such but overall, he'll most likely will get bounced around/team to team because of his "over-aggressive" personality.
  2. I believe he stopped playing league but instead played Overwatch and spent more time on that game instead, it wasn't until H2K needed a sub because their at the time ADC(Forgot name) had a broken arm or wrist or pinky finger ?
  3. Why go with an EU or NA player, when you can get a Korean player ?

" Was he perhaps overhyped as a player"

  • Not really overhyped, teams/fans/players know/knew what type of player Forgiven was, aggressive and good but his personality really got in the way for any improvements as a team( no more is League/lcs/competitive) about just 1 player. IF you can't work as a team, you're done, period.

" But most importantly will we ever see him back"

  • Maybe, I wouldn't say NO, especially with LCS going into franchising, in which means easy $ and a more stable job for the future, many X pros are coming out of retirement for such reasons.

Yes.

Plain and simple. To me he was on the same arrogance level and was equally overhyped as Doublelift.

Was he good? Sure. One of the best even? Yes.

Was he an arrogant prick (especially in SoloQ)? Totally.

i would say forg1ven is done.

he was/is a good player.
he is vocal and aggressive. most teams need people who arnt that type of person.
the only way for him to actually come back would be if a team was built around him and i dont think that would happen.
