1 vs. 1 predictions from the All-Star pros
It's only a few hours until the 2015 All-Star Event begins, and many of your All-Star pros are excited to take part in the 1 vs. 1 tournament, where the ultimate duelist will be decided.

After talking to the players, it was clear that some favorites emerged, even among the All-Stars. "I think MaRin will win the whole thing," said LPL's All-Star mid laner RooKie, between his comical giggling with his Team Ice teammates.
After the 2015 World Championship meta was defined by carry top laners, MaRin emerged as king -- winning Worlds MVP, and most of his matchups -- throughout the tournament. Apparently he also won the hearts and minds of his peers.

"Marin will be good," NA LCS All-Star mid laner Bjergsen said. "I think top laners will be really good, they're really good at 1 vs. 1."
His former Team SoloMid teammate and Team Fire top laner Dyrus also sang high praises for SKT's former top. "MaRin is really good at League. You have no idea… you'll find out."
Oh, will we?
"He was the MVP of Worlds," Dyrus continued. "He put Faker on his back. There aren't a lot of people in my life that I've played against in League that I feel like 'it's impossible to get past this obstacle,' and he's one of them. He's a high mechanical player, he plays all of the meta champions, and his own champions, properly. He shot calls for his team...he's always in the right place at the right time, he always does everything correct in team fights. There's almost no error in his play."
"Marin is just a god," he adds in conclusion.
All told, PraY, Score, Dyrus, Bjergsen, and RooKie all put MaRin as a 1 vs. 1 favorite. But that wasn't the unanimous opinion of all the All-Star pros.

"Bjergsen is going to win, of course!" NA LCS All-Star ADC Doublelift said about the tournament. "I think mid laners are hands down the best at 1 vs. 1."
That opinion seemed to be a common thread as well, with MaRin and Rekkles agreeing that mid laners have an edge by the nature of their play patterns -- they get to play 1 vs. 1 in a vacuum more than any other role on the Rift.

And which of those mid laners do the All-Stars think will come out on top? The winner of the highlight matchup between Ice Bird and Demon King. "Froggen or Faker, whoever wins that will win the whole thing," said LCK All-Star support Madlife (who knows a little something about… frosty climates).
While NA LCS All-Star support Aphromoo agrees this will be one of the highlight matchups, he's putting his money on EU. "I think Froggen might upset Faker. If Froggen beats Faker, Froggen will make it almost to the end."
Even the Demon King himself laughed at his prospects against Froggen. "I think Froggen will beat me," Faker said. "I don't think I'm very good at 1 vs. 1." I swear, there was no kappa at the end of his sentence.

But ADC fans, don't panic! There were still many who pinned their hopes on China's king of the bot lane: Uzi.
"I'm gonna lose [my match]," EU LCS All-Star support KaSing said, who plays against LMS All-Star top laner Ziv in the first round. "Even if I win, I'm gonna have to play Uzi! I think Uzi will win the whole thing!"
"I think Uzi will win also," LPL All-Star sub GODV said.
LPL All-Star top laner Koro1 quickly agreed, "I want to play against Faker, but I think Uzi will win the whole thing."
Even other ADCs recognized that Uzi is at the top of the pecking order.
"I think Uzi will win," LCK All-Star ADC PraY said.
But regardless of who pros think is going to win, some were calling their shots before it started.
The king of ADC himself set his sights on the king of trash talk -- Doublelift. "I want to play against Doublelift," Uzi laughed.

Meanwhile, MaRin and EU LCS All-Star top laner Huni both expressed their desire to play each other, with each saying the other would likely win the event if they themselves couldn't grab victory. If they do meet, it would be in the Semifinals -- quite the match indeed!
Unfortunately, none of the All-Stars gave much 1 vs. 1 credit to their All-Star supports. Even most of the support players said they would just be happy taking down another support and bowing out. Come on, guys!

"I want to play against [CIS support] Dimonko, because I think he's the only one I can beat," LPL All-Star support PYL said after thinking of all the other supports in the event.
"I just want to beat Madlife in the first round," IWC All-Star support Dimonko said.
"I want to play against PYL," Madlife said.
And thus, the support triangle was complete.
