Here's this week's 10 thoughts from @meanmisterkien!

We're halfway through the split and the lines between the contenders and the pretenders are starting to become clearer. Is TSM the best team again? Or will someone finally knock them from their perch?

Feelsbad when C9 and CLG are your favorite teams and they are playing each other when TSM and IMT are playing Amumu

I put C9s mid and bot lane above TSM, even if it is bjerg and doublelift. Jensen is the best midlaner in NA (most kills, insane cs leads, low jgl proximity, etc). However, C9s top lane is super shaky, so we'll see what happens. It's a Tough week for all the top teams.

Top lane should not be a question for the match-up. Hauntzer beating Flame in lane would be an upset. The bigger question is if IMT will deny Lee, and what Sven can do without the blind monk.

It seems the DIG second half collapse may be a fruition yet again, started off 3-0 and now are 5-3. Seen this from DIG like 9 splits before where they are decent in the first half but suck in the second half. Game series DIG are 54-47(first half) 39-62(second half) only 1 time has DIG had a winning record in the second half and that was last split( against the worst teams in the League beating the #10-9-8-7 teams or so to do so.

FQ and P1 are pretty much eliminated from Playoffs, it's so annoying watching FQ play; it's like they stay in lane/overextend 24/7 especially Hai. He just stands in a side lane farming/ like picking flowers all happy and S$it and............. he's gone. Similar to CLG - FQ are but without the kills on their side to even out the K/D ratio.

FOX back to the bottom they go, they saw the light for like a week or so but down in the pit once again. Looper has been total donkey butt since coming to NA. He's literally just a tiny bit better than Lourlo. Akaadian seems to be the new IWD with his fail barons/dragon plays. Keith and Gate are still bad and Froggen is Froggen.

NV I like NV the players have improved but even if they improve 10 fold it's not going to matter at the end of the day(C9/DIG/TSM/IMT/CLG ) are miles further than they are currently and that's 5 teams looking to be locked into playoffs. They could get a 6th maybe 5th playoff spot tho.

Hopefully this weekend the games are exciting, last weekend the games were boring and I didn't care to rewatch them to analyze my thoughts as I tend to do, instead I just watched some Oddone videos.

That comment about the "Four Horseman of the Apocalypse" for TL is kind of cringe-worthy... The horse logo for TL has been around since their BW/SC1 days, it's not an identifier of their team to most people.... Maybe a "paid for by steve" reference would have been more relevant?

Agree with the match preview of imt vs tsm. I give the midlane edge to Bjergsen if it is a pure 1v1; however if they can make it a 2v2 and keep Sven off lee sin, I think Xmithie can make the difference. Toplane who knows - kinda depends on champs each player gets. Bot lane? Yeah Olleh and Cody Sun should take the day - as long as they don't buy too much into their hype and fall prey to overagression and ganks early. Personally, I'm not sure if I want to see imt win this match or not. On the 1 hand, winning gets them over any lingering doubts that they have the potential to take the whole split. On the other hand, it means they still have the pressure on them and even more of a challenge not to let ego's build and get the better of them when it matters most - in playoffs. Something imt has a history of doing; something I would like to see them overcome this split.

First thing...I think keeping Sven off Lee is easy, prioritize that ban and force him onto any other champ and force him to find new ways to make plays. Anything other than Lee he has been shaky. Don't see any three bans Immortals MUST do that would let Lee slip by to first pick phase, especially if they are Blue side and dare TSM to allow Zac on the rift. Second, Flame and Ssumday stand above the rest on the toplane pile. Hauntzer is more like 4th or 5th by a noticeable margin when compared go those two. Trickle down of denying Sven the Lee, Flame will have an easier time pressuring and Hauntzer won't have as much aid. Top will definitely be IMT's to lose, I don't even see this being a contest without TSM bringing 2 or 3 at Flame. (Which would give an opening to IMT who has been great on capitalizing and at least taking as much or more from that kind of play) Third, bot lane. With how Xmithie has been able to focus most of his pressure into his bot lane and mid thanks to superb play by Flame, he can do plenty to give his teams duo safety and possible leads. Again, if Sven is denied Lee, he will have a hard time making plays onto Cody and Olleh, especially if Xmithie is their 5th summoner spell.

Yeah I agree - imt should have no problem banning away lee; however many other teams have had the option and given it to him anyways. This is the only reason I say that. And if both flame and hauntzer get carry champs, unless sven makes some amazing early ganks, then I'm with you about flame winning out. But you never know if they randomly put him on a tank or something.

Went back and looked at week one, Imt took Lee game 1 for Xmithie, and allowed it to Sven game 2, which IMT won anyway. It wasn't really until the second series against CLG week 2 that the Lee Sven really clearly was a major factor. Since then TSM has had the lower end teams, NV, Liquid, Flyquest, Fox. I would suggest their records reflect not just sub-par work by players but bad coaching which would not focus on eliminating what should be a clear strength.

I agree, definitely need to keep Sven off lee sin and see if he can have the same impact with a champ like Rek sai or Elise. You may be under evaluating Hauntzer a bit. I agree that Flame and Ssumday are the best carry top laners atm, but Hauntzer has them beat when it comes to top lane tanks. I can see TSM leaving the top lane pick to last ensure a favorable matchup and banning out split pushing comps. As long as Bjergsen is not on Galio, I would pick them to be slight favorites to win.

Wouldn't you consider Renekton a tank and not a carry? Flame has made some disgusting plays with him.

TSM has been IMT's kryptontie every since last year. Time to see if they can get that monkey off their back or if TSM will make the immortals mortal again.

Aren't Conquest and War interchangeable depending on which version of the four horsemen you use? I thought it was War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death?

I can easily see, another 3-way tie for first place after this week, TSM, should beat C9 and could beat Immortals, CLG should also 2-0 the week and Immortals, almost 100% will beat P1
