Dade is the best player in League of Legends. After his poor performance at Worlds 2013 and a finalist performance at OGN Winter 2013-14, Samsung traded him to sister team Samsung Blue. Since then, he has been an OGN finalist twice, won another Championship and an MVP as well as an OGN Masters Championship. SK Telecom T1 K’s Faker may be the household name, but it is Dade that is the superior mid laner. His mechanics have never been better, his champion pool has never been more in the meta, and his chance to win a World Championship has never been higher. It's comical to say that Dade is better than faker. Just because of 1 series where Faker didn't play well(due to desperation, had to hard carry or lose), versus the 2 straight years he was the best player ever. Dade is a 10/10 Ziggs and Yasuo player, the best in the world. Faker is a 9.9 on virtually any champion that can be viable in the mid lane.

It is not just a series, since the start of OGN Spring Dade's performence have increase vastly, and even though Faker still one of the best, he isn't as good as he once was. And it doesn't matter how good Faker have been the last two years, TODAY Dade is better.

Dade's working with the best bot lane in Korea, and the third best jungler. Faker's working with a bot lane that just got benched a jungler that's been past his prime for months.

When Yasuo and Zed drop out of the meta, Dade will be a mediocre mid laner, and Faker will adapt. The latter's insane consistency and apparently limitless champion pool make him the stronger player, in my eyes.

Except Dade's champ pool is so much bigger now, it's not only Zed or Yasuo. He has performed extremely well on several champs. People who say his champ pool is stil limited, clearly haven't watch him play this season at all.

MonteCristo is saying that his champ pool is still limited on the preview show, and he's casted every professional game of Dade's this year.

He plays Zed, Yasuo, Ryze.... and what else?

Obviously he's capable of playing a lot of champions, but he's so much better on his signature champions.

if u really want to see how Faker is at least 3 steps over everyone u need to see the last season( and i think at winters OGN when SKT won with 18-0!!!!!!!!!!! ) matchups when gragas was virtually unbeatable in mid with everyone picking orianna just to farm forever safe faker was teh only one who picked RIVEN against every gragas in a small lane as mid and dueled from lvl 1 wreking the hell out of everyone around. Even this season when his team was failing every single lane u would see him carry some of the games. Trust me i have seen literally hundreds of games all over regions and there is noone like faker. The rest of korea realised that u cant win SKT by trying to wipe out faker but the rest of the team.... and one last remark.... u CANNOT ban out faker his champion pool is ..... everyone.

3 steps AHEAD of everyone? bro, you just can't be serious. in s3, mandu and piglet were the best bot in korea, and piglet was the one carrying the team throughout the s3 worlds, and had better stats than faker in the ogn... bengi's strategy was to babysit faker and get him rolling (not saying he needed it tho, he WAS the best mid... but that was a year ago). the fanbase is just too strong... you just can't accept the fact he ain't that good anymore (he still is one of the best... but clearly not number one) peace out :)

If your talking about the games 1v1 showmatches, Faker had to play worse champions every single game (his signature champs from season 3.) Dade could play yasuo who is and has been a top 3 mid laner since the spring.

faker is a good mid laner. If you are talking just about skills, everyone can say that faker is the number one, but if we are talking about skills, shot calls and leadership, dade is the number 1 over all. Plus faker is not in the world championship, did you read the title of the article ?

I think it's cause the article said "Dade is the best player in league of legends" "There is a new king of League of Legends - Dade." .. I personally think faker is better.. But, who am I to talk, I'm just another faker fanboy.. But I will say.. Faker's skill, ontop of his syngery with Bengi and Impact, makes for crazy roaming kill potential and it's rare that faker loses lane.

The problem with SKT T1 right now is they don't have the full team synergy that they needed to take worlds again, and the meta isn't in their favor for their champion pools compared to teams like samsung. :3

Dade is only hyped due to him being on such a well performing team. His yasuo play was trash there and I thought he would pull a crazy windwall but instead goes in and focuses a support after getting the ADC.

as i see there is a lot of fake vs dade. Dade is great player ofc and maybe at the Worlds he is best midlaner and 1 of best midlaners now...but bcs of meta. There is not many midlaners in world with Fakers champions pool. Dade have ryze, twisted fate, zed, yasuo, ziggs and. that is all. IMO Faker still is better then Dade...it is not about laning phase only and 1v1 without jungles (wtf? that is skill?). IT is about movement, map awareness, team fighting, laning, reactions, predictions... Faker didn't had good season or his team i say. But he played great consistently unlike bengi, mandu and piglet. SKT organsation know it and released pigled and mandu from team roster and i think bengi will be next. It will be risky move and that can ends in disaster, but worth to try.

He also was the 2013 Spring Season MVP and highest KDA of mid laners...

2013 Spring... y'know, BEFORE the Season 3 World Championships, where he absolutely wet the bed. I'm still busy counting the amount of missed Gragas ults in that game against Fnatic. Yes, he was statistically the best mid laner in Korea for a period before last year's Worlds, and completely choked when the lights were at their brightest.

Winning OGN is one thing, when it's mostly only Koreans watching. Playing at Worlds, the pressure is entirely different, especially when you need to perform in front of your own country's fans, or face the ridicule of a ravage internet fanbase for losing to a foreign country (assuming he doesn't lose to another Korean team).

TL;DR He's already choked on the highest stage possible after being named a Korean MVP. Who's to say he won't choke again this time, especially when his group counterparts consist of XiaoWeiXiao, xPeke, and Cool?

He didn't choke that hard, Riot raped his champion pool right before worlds. Dade is only good on 2-3 champions at one time and 2 of his champions were nerfed out of viability to the point where the only champion he was top 3 on was zed, which was 100% pick ban for every team.

I am a faker fan, his mindset on and off the rift is what makes him superior to dade. Dade's style of play synergizes better with Blue than Fakers does with SKT. Dade and Faker are even mechanically, in the 1v1's, faker always goes in while dade prefers to play safe, making Faker look childish in comparison. I miss the old SKT and old Faker but league is a young game, with years for SKT to make a comeback or for a new korean midlaner to sweep away with our hearts and our youtube outplay views.

Riot is posting Dade as "There is a new king of League of Legends" Because they are unable to say that Faker is the king as his team did not make it to worlds. Had Faker and SKT T1 Made it, Faker would have been undeniably #1 on this list

Faker is not as good as he was in S3 Worlds, the meta changes, unfortunately his team didn't qualify as they did not adapt. Faker himself is one of the best mid laners in the world but I personally think Dade is better, his achievements speak for himself, he was in 2 OGN finals I think? On 2 separate teams? Please stop riding the Faker hypetrain and learn who your Dade is.
