Best Teams to Never Win or Compete at Worlds

I've only been following the League esports scene for a year now and speaking on the topic of great teams, I think that one of the best teams that left a lasting impression was Immortals. A team that went a combined 33-3 throughout both splits in the NA LCS regular season, Immortals just flat out dominated North America with their fantastic team plays, creative team compositions, and basically just scaring the living crap out of any team that stood in their way. Sure they had their flaws, but I always felt that they were one of the top teams in the world and could actually compete on the level of Korean teams. So what did they show for it?

Two 3rd-place finishes in the playoffs, no NA LCS championship, no appearance at MSI, and most heartbreaking of all, no appearance at Worlds. Today's loss to Cloud9 in the NA Regional Finals (no disrespect to C9; they were actually the first LoL team I started following on a casual basis) cemented Immortals as one of the best teams in the professional scene to not reach Worlds. This had me thinking that there were probably a number of great teams that couldn't win or reach Worlds. I was wondering if the fans who have been following the scene longer than I have could share their thoughts on the greatest LoL teams that never won or made it to Worlds.

They are good but not good enough. My favourite team, but they aren't an SKT.

Should change the name from Immortals to Reignover cause he is Immortals as the other 4 players can't seem to do anything without him each and every game.

For the post part I think Dignitas 2014 Summer was a decent team. They gave TSM a run for their money in the playoffs and had excellent games where at times I felt like I was watching a Korean team play. The map was warded up like a Christmas tree each game from both teams and Dig's plays and calls were just great to watch.

I don't know what it is about Dignitas but they were just a good team. They had their games where they would have fun and just troll but when it was time to get serious they did. It really has to do with the players like Imaqtpie/Scarra/Kiwikid where they had so much potential and were all talented but they would just play for fun and that was the devastating part because it was I don't want to say "wasted" but it was (lost potential) IDK just my thought on the subject, good post!
