Removal of Ranked Specting?

Why did Riot remove that little spectator container for ranked games of players in higher divisions? We used to be able to spectate games of those who were in diamond (or so) revisions, basically publicly. Why was that removed? I actually really enjoyed that aspect to the game client. Now, I'm unaware whether or not this was removed in the new client, but as far as I remember, the legacy client had it removed as well.

Is there no longer an option to view and/or find these games, or will we only be able to only spectate custom games now? Disappointment flows through my veins.
