Removal of Ranked Specting?

Why did Riot remove that little spectator container for ranked games of players in higher divisions? We used to be able to spectate games of those who were in diamond (or so) revisions, basically publicly. Why was that removed? I actually really enjoyed that aspect to the game client. Now, I'm unaware whether or not this was removed in the new client, but as far as I remember, the legacy client had it removed as well.

Is there no longer an option to view and/or find these games, or will we only be able to only spectate custom games now? Disappointment flows through my veins.

My thought is you as a casual viewer could watch some big named players without being on their twitch/youtube etc etc sites, so Riot removed it so you can't just watch the game without getting "butterfingers" and possibly subscribe, donate, and just be another viewer in total for the streamer to get the # needed to bank in some $.

I can feel that, but at the same time... not really. Everyone streams League, ranging from Bronze to Challenger tier. It's so much of a hassle to locate someone's stream, rather than just clicking a spectate button. I want to see amazing plays, rather than having to Google summoner names in order to find who streams what. On top of this, not all good League players actually stream their games. So, instead of waiting for that decent player to come online and start streaming, I could just click a random game that's being highlighted in the client and watch the action.

I mean I'm not arguing you, I'm just saying that would be my guess on the matter, other than that like I said I don't know. I loved watching the spectate on the league site and not the stream because I got to see the game and not hear the background noise or "memes, jokes etc" that I don't care much for but just the game, it made it feel like LCS seeing pro players play, doing my own commentary etc.
It's been what 2/3 years or so since they removed it and your guess is as good as mine on why they did.

Stop YELLING AT ME lol jk, I hate that they removed it too cause I would always watch a game or two after a bad ranked game etc so I'm sad they removed it also ;[ later
