How does the Pick'Em mission work?

My friend got the Icon for the Pick'em mission, we did everything at the same time and he got his and i'm still waiting a few hours to get mine. Is there something I have to do? I know it auto saves, but is there anything else after that? I really want this icon and I don't wanna wait until the last moment to find it out :(

Or am I just overreacting and there's nothing to worry about and ill get it in 2 days?

In past years, the participation icon appeared once Pick'em was locked after the deadline. They would just automatically appear because Missions weren't a thing. As long as you did it you should be good.

Try clicking on the link in the mission and then slightly editing your Pick'Em (you can even move stuff back to how it was before after it saves). That worked for me.

For some reason using the link from the mission works best.
