High School Tournament

Hey everyone!

I have a couple of questions and I am hoping the community/Riot can help me out. I am the eSports Program Director and head coach for league of Legends at Oswego High School in Oswego Illinois. Now I have put in a lot of work trying to not only build a program at our school, but construct a platform for eSports at the High School level. Now I have a few questions and hopefully we can bump this and get as much traffic as possible.

  1. What other schools have eSports programs and would be willing to join a tournament(online)? These schools would have to have at least a staff member that could be responsible as a go between in case of any issues.

  2. How does prizing normally work? I am fine putting in some money but if anyone knows of companies being willing to do prizing please let me know. (Riot I am not sure how you run your own prizing for things like this or where I would go for an application process?)

  3. If anyone in High School (or teaches in High School) is interested in starting a club/team and needs help, let me know. My program (and the program at our sister school) is pretty secure and has total support from administration. I would love to help out anyone lookign for support.

I really just want to help kids out and support their passions. This isn't even a club I get paid for by my school. I love eSports and League and want to give students an opportunity to be active in a school club where they can be recognized for doing something they love. Also I think it is my job as an educator and coach to try and give them every opportunity to get college scholarships for all they do.

Sorry for this being kind of long and vague but just trying to get feelers out there!

Bumped! As an Organization owner myself (Rozenoir eSports), I would love to see programs like this happen in High School! I never got my shot or a chance at it, so here's an opportunity to make it happen for the kids! Bump on my part friend![slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I know a lot of people have read this now, but please leave some ideas! As an edit, it looks like the invitational will be done over March 4th and 5th. More details to come as we hammer them out but it looks like we would like teams from across America to participate! PLEASE! Any suggestions or even a "bump" to pass on this opportunity would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Any school looking to apply should fill out the following Google form as an application. Thanks! NOTE: We will only be looking for 16 total teams in each tournament and you do not need to fill a team at each level if you choose not to.

I know this is a two-year-old post, but I am starting an eSports club (hopefully soon to be an official team once we are approved) at my high school and I am interested in how you accomplished this, and if you are still doing this.
