Gamer House Start up

Hello LoL players,

My brother and I have been gamers since we were very little and sometimes we are very good and sometimes just ok. He is very good at league (flycow) and we have shared a dream of making a gamer house.

This is where we are at so far:

We have started a business we are getting closer and closer to making enough money with each month to support the house financially.

We are looking for players, we have started getting together some locals, but as we told them already the probability of them being the final team just isn't a very realistic idea. We need Diamond 1 and up level players because the professional scene is getting intense.

We are also looking for people that love Esports and want to support it any way they can. Our business always needs more people sharing and spreading the word about what we do.

We plan to start try outs for the team in the next 2-4 months. You can find my facebook Daniel Oglesby https://www.facebook.com/oogle777 and contact me with either information about being a player or for information on how to support the team.

We want our supporters to get some fun things in return. We have been throwing ideas around and one that I had was to have a BBQ or two a year and invite everyone that has shown support in our business, which will be supporting our team financially. The team will be there and the idea would be to have it at the gamer house we get, so you can get a tour as well of the place where your team makes it happen.

So hurry up and work on your skills try and get to Diamond 1 fast, if you aren't quite there go ahead and contact me anyways.

Neither myself or my brother will be on the team. Flycow might play if we have trouble finding anyone better than him. We just love gaming so much we want to support and be a part of it.

Lol. League is one of the most played video games out there. It has more viewers than Dota. We had a couple million viewers just for IEM Finals. Then you have League finals being played all over the world at big venues. Olympic stadium, Staples Center, and so on. You also have a company that has shown and continues to show that they care about their player base. You have a support team that helps whenever they can. You have engineers helping with road mapping NA to get everyone better ping. LCS players and teams that take their job seriously. Riot getting rid of the players and teams that don't behave professionally (OPL and Rich Gang). Then on top of that, you have Tencent (owners of Riot) in China partnering up with Microsoft to bring League to every windows computer. If you honestly believe that League is going to decline over the next few years, you're not looking in the right direction.

you are talking about the game in general.

I am talking only about competative league. competative league has most likely reached it's peak. and there is knowhere to go but down. 90% of pro games are beyond boring to watch. 45 minute games with 10 deaths all game? it happens all the time. but I'm sure you will come back to me and say "that is how you win! teams do whatever it takes!" yeah good for those teams but the reality for a ton of people watching, it is boreing.

also people are getting tired of watching 30 minute games where nothing happens, and then having 30 minutes of analysis and commercials.

Source? Literally any proof at all that competitive league is declining?

I would argue the exact opposite, good sir, as viewership numbers rise every single year for big events compared to their previous years' counterparts. The last world finals were broadcast on ESPN3. Colleges are beginning to attempt the journey to make a high level competitive college league scene.

If anything, all signs point to it heading in the opposite direction. Just because you or a couple people you know are tired of watching professional league for some reason, that does not suggest that there is a national trend in a negative direction.

With potential for advertisement endorsement, the highly unlikely but not 100% unlikely chance of establishing a television connection, and growth in other regions as they become more experienced in the game, I don't really understand why you would say that professional league has hit its peak. Everything about it literally gets bigger and (depending on who you ask, as it's totally opinion-based) better every year.

Good news, making money is great but doing something you love in life. There are no words. We really are not worried about the money made, if we were going into this for that reason it would be dumb. You only makes good money if one you win big tournaments and two you have a great fan base that buys your products and donates to the team. There are a ton of other options to make money while doing this too if you want to be creative which is what we are doing with our business. It will literally grow as our team gets more fans. Our fans will also get benefits in return for participating.

Love that our league community believes in the future of our game. Lots of people interested but still would love to hear from more players!
