Ruling Update - Iron Solari League I cannot believe this is real.

This honestly does not make sense, what is the point of limiting the amount of players based on their sexuality or gender identity?

This is disgusting. I know that the league community doesn't consist of the most forward-thinking individuals (hurrdurr im an anti-sjw durrrr) so I really hope this doesn't get swept under the rug. They are basically saying that they don't acknowledge transwomen and even lesbians as women.

at first I thought that this was a parody and it seemed kinda funny. But then I realized that everything included in that article was real. I started to wonder where the confidence in these decisions came from. Did they do some sort of study on gaming ability that gave conclusive evidence that lesbian and transgendered women have magical talent that other women dont? I think the general idea is great but its odd that a league that's all about making a more inclusive community could be so...exclusive.

I came to the forums to express exactly this. I don't know if it's unreasonable to expect Riot to step in on this issue, but I would be very disappointed if they let their game be used as a platform for this kind of gross discrimination.

I thought that dividing by women/men was about physiology not mentality.

Also I do believe that in main leagues like LCS, LCK, Garena etc. there is no limitation about women, is there?

Under no circumstances must Riot give in to bigoted discrimination. It would not be any different if a game had happened in a racists country and they wanted to restrict Black players with some cheezy excuse.
