Introducing the Spring Split EU LCS caster team

Riot·Jan 21, 2015·0 votes·59,468 views

As we kick off a new season of the EU LCS, Trevor “Quickshot” Henry and Martin “Deficio” Lynge will be heading up the caster team hosting 2015’s live broadcast from our studio in Berlin. Moving into leading roles within the team, Quickshot and Deficio will be helping to guide viewers through a brand new season of LCS action -- including guest spots along with Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere on the new League show, PTL. In addition to this core duo, new face Devin “PiraTechnics” Younge will be joining the EU LCS caster lineup. Formerly of the LPLen team that brought the Chinese LoL pro stream to Western fans, PiraTechnics will be making his debut during the first week of the season. This season, we’re also adding an analyst desk in EU to offer post-game in-depth analysis with expert commentators. Hosted by Sjokz, the desk will feature guest commentators and analysts to break down the day’s action, including Worlds analyst and pro Mitch “Krepo” Voorspoels for week one. In the future, more guests and pros will be rotating to pick up the conversation live in studio, so look out for more announcements in the coming weeks. Over at the EU Challenger Series, Richard “Pulse” Kam and James “Stress” O’Leary will be helming the caster desk. A familiar duo to viewers of the LCS Expansion Tournament, Pulse and Stress will oversee the games as Challenger teams fight for a spot in the EU LCS. We hope to add to our EU LCS lineup in the next few months, but are excited to be kicking off the action from our new studio space with this collection of talented casters. With new and reshuffled teams battling seasoned veterans and a brand new EU LCS studio home, we’re looking forward to a 2015 season full of fierce competition in Europe!

Noooo, not deficio.... he's so bad :/

Completely agree, finally someone else who has this point of view- he literally knows next to nothing about the game and is just incredibly biased in favor of Alliance (or now Elements).

I disagree. He knows about the game despite his bias. He isnt the best caster but i would prefer him to other people. I will really miss Joe and Deman. Ah well i guess the times... the time they be changing.

He isn't any worse then Rivington who often says things wrong that Jatt has to correct or says something entirely nonsensical that I have to explain to friends means literally nothing.

the problem there is that riv is a play-by-play caster. pbp casters don't really give a shit about grammar or saying things right, all that matters is hype, hype, teamfights and hype.

actually he is my favourite, he explains the game so good when he is casting, and he seems to have lots more knowledge about the game compared to the other casters, no haterino

I owe my life to Deficio. I got in a horrible car crash and I was in a coma for 6 months. One day my nurse walked in and change the twitch channel to the EU LCS and I heard Deficio casting. I awoke from my coma, got up. and muted it.

OH MY LORD!!! Where is Deman?

Deman and Joe Miller both decided to not move to Berlin, where the EU LCS takes place in 2015. So both of them kinda "quit" for the LCS. But as far as I know they still will cast big events in the future.

I know Deman is going to ESL not really sure where Joe is headed.

Joe is also going to ESL.

Joe has been an ESL employee since the beginning of the LCS era. He was on loan to the LCS. When the EU LCS was moving to Berlin from Cologne he was offered a job by Riot, but decided to stick with ESL and remain in Cologne. Similarly Sjokz was also an ESL employee, but she decided to take the Riot offer and moved to Berlin.
