It doesn't matter how good you thought you played, how close you claim that last spear was, or how many times that Thresh hook just shouldn't have hit. Guess what? You just lost. There's no magical formula for winning, and there isn't some secret to carrying games 100% of the time. Sometimes you just lose.
It happens to the best and worst of us. In fact, statistics show that there are as many as five losers per game. That's enough tears to drown Nami, Fizz, and Nautilus combined. Even in the LCS, the sting of losing strikes harshly, and every player this season has felt the weight of crushing defeat. If you thought losing the last game in your promotional series was bad, just imagine what it would feel like to take a loss in front of the entire world.
But maybe all you needed was that one extra spell to clinch victory. Maybe the line between success and failure was just a little too thin, and with a little more room to maneuver, you surely would have had it. Well with the future of League of Legends moving closer to URF (Ultra Rapid Fire) Mode, soon, those dreams will become a reality. Then, maybe you'll never lose again. For now, however, defeat is an everyday occurrence, and you simply have to learn to live with the broken hearts and crushed dreams that come along.
