All Stars 2018 Vegas
Hello, So this is a long shot but not sure what else to try at this moment. I've technically been playing LoL since around the Beta, back when Ashe mid was a thing. Then over the years my PC got progressively worse and couldn't even play LoL or stream videos without overheating and restarting. I opened it up a few times and cleaned the dust out and for a few weeks after it would last a bit longer under pressure before overheating to the point I was getting leave buster for Arams as my laptop would force restart every 10 minutes or so. About two years back I ponied up some cash and got myself another computer and took up LoL back in earnest.
I've never been to an LoL competitive match. I was planning on making a trip to LA this season, but then the switch to the smaller studio and those sold out right quick. I was hoping there would be an event in the Bay Area, CA as that's easier to get to than LA. But nothing on the calendar suggested anything was coming to the Bay. Then I found out that AllStars was in Vegas. Well I always wanted to go to Vegas so why not make a trip of it.
Since the days were known I booked the trip to Vegas and all that was needed was the actual AllStars ticket. Daily I hit refresh on https://www.lolesports.com/en_US/all-star/all_star_2017/schedule/dream_team_elim/12-10-2017
Hoping for some info on when the tickets would go on sale. Earlier this week I even made a ticket because well Worlds was over, and we were getting dangerously close to December 6th and I still didn't have a ticket. Finally the ticket reply said that the tickets would go on sale November 9th... and what I thought said 9pm PST. So I set my alarm for 9pm PST... and would you know it I misread it and they actually went on sale at 10am PST. Then they sold out in a bit over 1 hour so by the time I checked roughly 12 hours after they went on sale, all the page had was last editted 11:17 and that tickets were sold out.
I guess the long shot I'm hoping for is that sometimes due to demand there are extra tickets sold as they find a way to squeeze a few more into the arena. Not sure if this will happen but one can only hope. Failing that what are the chances that some of the AllStars events would be open to a LoL fan who will be in Vegas but without a ticket.
