When watching LCS, we should be able to see which patch is being played.

Whether it's watching the weekly LCS, playoffs, or even looking at vods in Youtube, the viewers have no way to know which patch is being played, not even Champion Select shows it. Instead, we could have the patch number in champ select and in the left bottom corner where the Riot Games logo shows. Also, the Youtube vods would benefit from mentioning the patch number in the description for the video.

If we extend this feature across all LoL regions like China, it would help a lot to understand the context of their meta, since some regions are usually a patch or two behind. This would make it easier for us to track if champions were picked relative to recent buffs or nerfs, or whether the teams are still using the "old" patch before the live one.

Absolutely. I legitimately cannot find any information regarding what patch LPL is on currently anywhere. Why is such information so hard to find? Even Jatt doesn't know what patch LPL is on.
