VOD Full screen issues!

Hello! I have recently begun watching vods using an hdmi cable to connect to tv. However it seems that when I go into full screen mode small things are messed up. If i click on the time line it goes about an inch backwards. I cant control the volume without take off full screen then switching it. Any ideas?
