I'm confused

I just recently entered into a new role, mid laning,and though I do practice outside of normal games, I feel when I am in normal games junglers give me shit for asking for a gank. I don't ask for a gank all the time, I rarely even really ask just so that I can try to practice trying to beat my lane on my own. But because I'm so new to this role, I do need a gank every once in awhile. And some junglers I get flip out at me and say they aren't gonna babysit my Lane. Listen, I'm not asking for you to babysit my lane but at least one gank would be appreciated. Going the whole game without a single gank is hard for me especially as a new laner. Am I wrong for feeling like this? Is it wrong for me to ask for one gank? Serious question.
