Have a discussion about the boards!

So I like to scroll around the boards and see what everyone's up to. But I noticed that when it comes to trending topics that have plenty of upvotes, they tend to have lots of threads that have opposite messages.

For example, the topic of Blue Essence - and Orange essence to an extent. I've noticed that a lot of people want Riot to create more opportunities to spend BE, such as more chroma sales, and not just champion releases. They usually tend to be veteran players or people that have tons and _tons _ of BE sitting around. They want something to spend it on. However, other players want cheaper BE prices because anything you can buy with BE right now is really overpriced (I, myself included). This gives Riot a dilemma to consider: adding more store options high BE prices gives players with a lot of BE and nothing to do with it to have something to spend on. But this upsets players with less BE, or players (such as myself) who don't simply have the time to play game after game after game trying to level up and gain more BE. They want prices to be brought down because it's already hard enough to get BE. Bringing prices down will hardly make a difference to veteran players, though. What both sides agree on, though, is that the BE system needs to be fixed. We all dislike the essence nerfs and how we don't gain enough like we used to. I personally miss the old IP system. Would I want it back? Maybe, but I can't say for sure. I think that creating multiple threads with opposing messages makes it frustrating for Riot to deal with the problem because there's essentially two sides of the community fighting over what they want. On top of that, they're frequented with messages like "Riot doesn't listen to the community" when they do their best to. There have been times when they've given us what we've asked for and it's turned out great. FOr example, the 10-ban system. Sure, not everyone liked it at first, but I think the community has settled into it by now. And reworks, too! When Galio came out, everyone seemed excited. When they worked on Warwick, I've noticed people saying he's a well-balanced champion. And sure, Riot has let us down before, but they're doing their best. I'm not saying it's okay for them to be leaving the game in the state it is, but I can see that they're working towards it. A game as big as League is difficult to balance, but if they can make a few adjustments here and there, we'll get awesome results.

So what do you think? BE is just one topic of many that people seem to disagree on. Discuss what you think about the boards, the game, anything down in the comments. Maybe a Rioter will drop by and leave a message or two. I think that if everyone came together to discuss what they think in a (relatively) civilized conversation, Riot will take into consideration what we say. We should appreciate Riot for what they do but we shouldn't be afraid to point out what's wrong and to guide them in the right direction.

I should have tons of BE, but I spent on Runes. So that means I don't deserve lots of BE.

Now I don't spend BE on anything, ever. What's the point when it can all be taken away?
