Most of the posts in Gameplay are vitriolic salt posts indistinguishable from shitposts and if not the posts themselves then the comments on them often will be. Gameplay+ just got shutdown because it saw so little use because people mostly come here to bitch and moan about Yasuo, Lee Sin, Vayne, or whatever else is popular to complain about. Actual discussion is often drowned out by people who have no interest in actually discussing balance and often when a Rioter comments anywhere they're inundated with replies from those same salty whiners.

Is there proper, good discussion going on here? Yeah of course, but like Riot August said himself there's just better places to find actually good, proper feedback. Places where you don't have to wade through a river of shit to get to it.

+1 He was right anyway , Boards isn't a good place anyway It's biased and stuff , and they post the same salty posts 50 times a day Of course not all boards users are that bad but the majority is.

Oh please. If a company for profit can’t take any and all sorts of criticism it is destined to fail. They are a for profit company. They should not be having their feelings over being told some nonsense like “bla bla bla your champ design is shit” or “wtf why’d you have to turn the lore into trash.”

It’s their own incapacity that makes them establish a forum that they themselves find to be useless. Either it isn’t actually useless and they’re too afraid to stand up and actually communicate for fear of people not stroking their ego, so they just lurk, or it is useless and they’re wasting their money maintaining and misleading a decently large group of customers. They should delete boards for good and move to reddit officially if they only want people who suck up to them, telling them that their skin designs, their lore, their balancing, and their e$port$ is great.

Rioters should stop behaving like high school cliques that get so offended if you so much as tell them that they don’t necessarily look pretty.

I don't think anyone is genuinely surprised by it.

Consensus around the boards, as you will often see on any of these threads regarding the Riot August situation, is that the Boards is terrible and it's no secret.

Having the opinion that the boards is terrible is fine, nobody can control what others think.

However, calling it out and indirectly insulting almost everyone that uses the boards, including the ones that genuinely want to improve them, is just disheartening.
