Can we stop bashing CertainlyT? At least until his new champion comes out?

Since it was anounced that he is in charge of the next champion, I have seen many coments and even some posts complaining about his previous work as a champion designer, the situation hasn't gone south, but even then, I feel that it is not fair. Every time he gets mentioned (which isn't as often, but still) it is to be insulted, or complain about his work, while ignoring the things he has got right.

While every champion and design choice in League of Legends is subject to be criticised, we all know that the Boards (myself included) are eager to do so before seeing them in action. Yes, there have been some cases where people's fears turned out to be justified, but we happily forget all the times they weren't, because... well, nothing really remarkable happened, as it all worked out just fine. I can understand it, I am part of it, but this time it's beyond #$€+@.

We are seeing complains, BEFORE we get to see ANYTHING.

Guys, chill.

Yes, I know the list of champions he designed, came out completely broken, and still have balance problems. Yes, Yasuo. But he has done more than that, he has been working in the Rework Team for over a year, and he has helped craft awesome champions. Most people argue that this has nothing to do with him, but rather, that he was being supervised while he worked on those, and that, if left unchecked, anything he ever does will be a gibbering mess of balance problems.

Could we PLEASE stop being cynical assholes and give the man some credit? Maybe the fact that his last projects had great results had something to do with him working in those teams? Maybe he has improved as a designer, learned from others by working in a group, and now Riot has considered that he is ready to have his own project, and prove to the rest of the team this progress?

Just give the man some breathing room.

Except almost no one is bashing him.

Last time I did (bash him) just 2 days ago, where I expressed both serious distaste towards the person and the creations they did as well as justifications for my sentiments, I was met with extreme prejudices and all kinds of blanket mockery and personal attacks from almost all sides. I'm fairly certain this premise you said there is false.

Please don't do that trope where you victimise your stance into a position to gather sympathy even though it is already the dominant agenda. This can also be loosely categorised as using strawmans.

You don't see me coming out and make threads about everyone sucking off CertainlyT, which is what actually happens, so on what ground do you have to make this thread with that premise you are toting?

He created yasuo and kallista correct? imo he's 1 of the best! I know it's a cool meme to hate on yasuo but I have never seen such a sick designed champion.

He created few of my favorite champs

Nothing to hate every designer should be like him

Honestly i hope people attack him and rage ban his champion with the force of 10,000 suns not because i hate the man but so people forget about eve's rework and forget to ban her while they ban every champion he has ever made out of sheer rage.

Also, where is it confirmed that he's making the next champ??

If my name doesn't make it clear, I 100% can praise and enjoy some of CertainlyT's work. Warwick

I also give respect to him for being new, fun, and innovative with his designs. Kalista Yasuo

But he has a history of designing the champions that people love to play and everyone else hates to play against. Darius Thresh Yasuo Kalista Graves Caitlyn

And has had a hand in some of the biggest cases of 'number changes aren't enough to balance enjoyment vs frustration' in League. Yasuo Kalista

Any bashing he's getting is deserved, but positivity about the good things he's done is also deserved. I feel like his creativity is needed, but that it also needs guiding direction from others to avoid going into the land of 'banned nearly every match' we saw Yasuo kiss.

That's my possibly-inaccurate two cents, though.
