I can't see the warnings icon, so basically can't read them either.

Hiya! So I'm not able to get too technical with the details, so speaking generally:
Yes, this happens from time to time, where the Boards Platform Notification service does fail for one reason or another. When this happens and the service is unable to recover, the service needs to be restarted manually. As this is a small (almost, but not necessarily insignificant) service in the greater backend architecture, there are instances where these downtimes are not actually caught until I or another individual notice it, which may ultimately be multiple days. Threads like these definitely help me in identifying this issue, as I may be on the Boards for another reason and might not notice the Notification system failure.
So thank you for your report- I've passed it along for the time being.
