The key to getting new players aren't those "What league is all about vids" you did, Riot. Not to show what champions there are or what playstyles you can choose. The way to make new players join league, are your cinematics. I personally joined league in 2011 because of your season 1 cinematic.

Seeing this back in the day was just completly fucking mindblowing. That's why I started playing league. I didn't even need any introductions. I wanted to play Cho'Gath because he was a fucking beast. ######sadly, he was a 3150 IP champ back in the day, so rip...

The animation in season 3 sure was a big motivation for players to join too. If the cinematics are so good, how good is the game then? They even give small introductions to champions too. Some people might love how some champions might look like and only play because of them.

Fast foward that to end of S8. K/DA Music Video is out and I saw some reactions from people that have never seen League before. And they instantly want to try League out.

Cinematics are the key bois. Now, its even easier if people don't know League or the moba genre.

Now, to ask some players in the boards, why did you start to play League? Was it because of cinematics you've seen, or because of complety other reasons? ######If its because of cinematics, its going to prove my theory, so ty in advance for that.

I agree that cinematics are pretty important to draw in new players, and would love to see Riot try to make more of them. But I imagine it takes far more effort to make a cinematic than probably several cool-looking skins.

I originally picked up league because I was interested in the style of game but was disappointed by the first game I played of its type (It was called Demigod I think). When I saw some gameplay for League I picked it up because it reminded me of everything I was hoping for in that other game.
