Are porn, homophobic slurs, and threats of violence allowed on Boards?

I mean, I report these things with the built-in report feature, and occasionally I even take the time to ping a mod on Discord and then wait several hours to be pulled into a room, but the posts don't get removed. I understand the occasional generic rudeness taking a while to get through the pipeline (or being deemed "rude, but we're okay with that sometimes"), but these posts seem like zero-tolerance things that should make a mod go "whoaaaa gotta baleet that fast" rather than "meh, doesn't seem worth opening the mod tools today. I'll just mark this Processed so it leaves the queue."

I'm generally told something like "thanks for bringing that to our attention, we'll handle it," but then nothing happens and the porn/slur/threat is still there, days later.

Are these things actually allowed, given certain posters, time of day, alignment of the planets, etc.? Am I wasting my time?

If they're not allowed, why aren't they removed? Do the mods get distracted between marking a post as handled and actually handling it? Do technical glitches sometimes cause a reported post not to display properly in the queue or something? What can I do to help?

None of those things are allowed, no. Sometimes, however, the only people who are around don't have access to tools at the moment (on mobile, at work, etc), or everyone's having a somewhat quiet day -- it is a volunteer program, after all, and that means that we won't always have someone on top of everything.

I can't comment on technical glitches for reports posts, of course -- if they're not showing as reported, I'd never actually see that they're not flagging correctly.
