Is there a point in complaining on the boards?

Doesn't it make much more sense to put the discontent you feel into the survey, rather than the boards?

See: Help us Improve

There's also NA Versions etc.. http://leagueoflegends.na-surveyen2.sgizmo.com/s3/

(It's the link to the league survey that you can find if you scroll down and click "help us improve")

Think about it, you run a business and wanna know if people are happy with your product, you'd rather look at the numbers telling you "overall my customers are unhappy" than some random dude who's spaming your inbox (or your forum).

Just from a business point of view. The boards are more like a place to make suggestions, report bugs or talk to other players. Not to discredit anyone, but I don't think anyone actually "responsible" will give a shit about some random person on the forums.

No ones gonna learn. They will continue posting hoping that the boards can solve all their problems, get them unbanned, and balance the game

I've tried everything: Boards, surveys, Reddit, Twitter, Support feedback tickets. Rito doesn't give a crap about PR, feedback or complaints. They have in no subtle way told us that THEY know what WE want better than we do & repeatedly proven themselves to be wrong. Yet they continue ignoring their customers. I could write an actual book on it.

If you insult a specific rioter in your title the chance of them responding is higher than normal

Don't bother with well built posts they aren't going to read it

If enough people were complaining on the boards, Riot would care. But these boards make up only a minuscule portion of the playerbase. Despite what people here seem to believe, the Boards do not represent what the community thinks.

It makes people feel better, even though most of the time nothing comes from it.

I like the boards, why not use em for whatever you want!

It's mostly to take out the frustration rather than actually making changes to the game.
