I lost a metric sh*t of Progress in boards. And i Have An idea to fix problems like these.
Personally i believe we should have something for boards. What if you are writing in concept and creations, and you get a great idea for a champion. You have their entire lore, a couple of pictures for the champion and weapon, and the damages and details on each and every ability. What if that was a super great idea with over 4 days of work. Thats the thing, it took you a great deal of time to get all these ideas and put them down. And now imagining playing a game of League Of Legends and it freezes, forcing you to restart your Computer. You log back into your computer, frantic to see if you can save all those ideas in your histories "recently closed" section. You click the 1 tab portion so you could go back to the 4 day page you were working on. As you entered the tab, you see that it logged you out of your account, and when you log back into your account the possibly million dollar ideas were all gone. You try to look at all of your boards that you have made only to realize that its nowhere to be found. Then you act like me and have a fit because why wouldn't you? You lost a huge idea that you only got 4 days ago, and you cant remember every piece of perfected knowledge on a potentially new champion, new skin, or a new idea to improve everyone who plays the games experience and outlook upon it...
....Whats that?...... An angels voice?.....Wait......Is it saying that having a draft or some way to save your in-progress Discussions could be our only savior for preventing an issue like this again?.....
To answer all these questions, yes, having a draft or an auto save feature would be really nice. So if you every have to shut down your PC, you can rely on all that progress that you put into the discussion to be at least mostly saved and marked as unfinished. It could be located in the "my discussions" in a new section. That way you can resume your super awesome idea with no progress lost. And besides even if a little bit isn't saved like your most recent sentence or two, thats not the 5-10 long paragraphs it would have deleted. Having it be set as "draft" or "unfinished" honestly is the best fit for the section your unfinished but legendary ideas can set as their home. If having drafts isn't going to work, maybe have an auto save feature where every minute or so it saves your progress. If you didn't like your discussion and wanted to exit out to delete it, then you can just go to The section where the unfinished stuff goes and click delete and then click yes on the "are you sure you want to delete this?". This is such an easy fix/simple change. But it would be a change that i bet would save so many creators and their ideas. Even if you do finish your ideas super quick and post them. Having somewhere reliable to keep your unfinished work that is so well thought out, would honestly be the best thing for creators like me who lost all of their Ideas on a discussion. And it would save every other creator from experiencing the same pain we did.
