i need some advice!

Hey guys!

I wrote a critical and provoking thread regarding the german boards. Everything was fine until someone replied "I think u got a perma ban and are morbidly trying to get support for ur pathetic behaviour". My reply was "u are to early, defamation comes at the end".

First of i never got a ban and my thread was only about the boards. But I did not think to much about it and went on. Later when i came back i decided to report the comment cause i felt offended. Nothing happend.

I went on again and almost forgot about it. But there was a guy who replied to my comment. He was arguing. that the comment is no defamation. The discussion got me a little bit and i decided to quote the statement into the german league discord channel to argue about it.

And now guess what happened. I instantly got banned from the german boards. Why? I did not even write something into the boards for a while.

Ofc i made a bit of a riot and asked for the reason, which got me banned. The moderators only redirected me to the message i got. They refused to talk to me. The reason for the ban i got in the message is ridiculous. The text is a bit longer but it says that i should not write provoking and critical texts. I mean wtf.

The moderators refuse to talk to me. The german support is kinda useless for a case like this. My question is: what can i do? I would have had to put up with it. But to be honnest i do not like it.

I'm honestly not sure -- the German boards aren't directly associated with the NA boards moderation-wise, so we can't really do anything more than you might be able to. If they have a Discord or something they use for moderation inquiries, that might be your best course of action.

I'm honestly not sure -- the German boards aren't directly associated with the NA boards moderation-wise, so we can't really do anything more than you might be able to. If they have a Discord or something they use for moderation inquiries, that might be your best course of action.

They banned me from the boards for posting the quote into the Discord. That makes no sence. It actually looks like the quote or the arguing came from an admins smurf account, but i am not sure about that :/

The Discord is where they refused to explain my ban. I allready attempted to talk there with the admins, but with low success.

I do agree, that my posts can be kinda provoking and they are often critical. But the way they acted around me is just wrong.

Actually i enjoy the way Riot works around criticism. It is also pleasant how they deal with the community overall :)

That`s why i simply cannot understand how anyone wanna justify my ban. Considering, that all of us have free speech.

Common misunderstanding. Most freedom of speech laws apply to things like governments, and online companies have always been allowed to set restrictions on what is and isn't okay to say on their websites or in their games.

I did reach out to try to understand the punishment to see if I can help you -- there's no point trying to argue it here, as I'm not responsible for how they run things there, but it seems like you were punished for provocational content and the word Gleichschaltung (or similar), which I have been told has heavy Nazi connotations, making it inappropriate for use on the boards. That is stuff that would likely get you warned or suspended on the NA boards as well.

Thanks for the answer :) There is no equivalent for this word in english. And ofc i should not have used it on the boards. I somehow wasn`t aware when i typed it :/

At least i used it in a negative way, but it is still to much of a provocation. Especially on the german boards.

Dunno why the german admins were unable to tell me that. I still think they are biased af ;)
