Can I make an appointment to talk to a mod in the Discord?

My mod ping is not the only one in the boards-report-room channel, and the prior ping is from four days ago. I'm hoping that it was handled immediately and the mod who handled it just forgot to clean up the ping message, but I'm concerned that that person has been pulling a Bear Grylls so they don't keel over and die while waiting to talk to a mod. My schedule won't allow me to sit here for four days straight. Can I make an appointment? Why isn't it all by appointment in the first place? Sitting around and wondering whether anyone's even there doesn't seem to be working too well.

They are probably going to be shutting down or at least massively revamping the boards soon anyway.

The mods are way behind on everything, but they don’t care anymore and aren’t looking to improve. The reason I bet is that they know there are about to be major changes so they know there is no point in bringing in new people only to have to kick them soon.

They just can’t admit to that due to a non disclosure agreement. But these are clearly the last days of the boards

Kind of. It's just circumstantial tbh, but there is enough of it that it seems to be by far the most likely explanation for Riot's decision making lately.

The mods are way behind on everything, but they don’t care anymore and aren’t looking to improve. The reason I bet is that they know there are about to be major changes so they know there is no point in bringing in new people only to have to kick them soon.

Just speaking on the mods I have gotten to know a little bit and chat with, these are really decent people. Especially the Heralds. You guys don't see the Heralds as much, and the green-mods you do interact with, you haven't really talked to them much or tried to see past their status on the forum or some forum disagreement they've had.....but if you tried, I'm telling you, you'd see that these ppl don't wanna beat you up, take ur lunch money, and perma-ban you for shits and giggles...and they actually do care.

Like think about, if they didn't care about this game or forum community, why in the world would they waste their damn time trying to make sure this forum is moderated? Most of you do nothing but trash them anyways, they're not getting parades of gratitude, salaries, or any real gain from it. (And trust me, a few of them actually do deserve fucking parades of gratitude. No name dropping because that'll just annoy ppl, but they really really really really really do deserve gratitude that they don't get, these are very kind and pressed ppl who you wouldn't know where pressed because they keep it positive and are trying to solve disagreements/tension vs. add to it.) There's a level of caring that has to be there for them to keep VOLUNTEERING for the gig, I'm just saying.

I do agree with u that I don't think there looking for any new ppl, but a lot of things could be the reason for that - not just "they don't care about us or the forums, and the forums are ending!!!" lol

Trust me, I know these mods a hell of a lot better than you think. I was on the mod team when it was formed after all. I know who they really are, not the fake persona they put on publicly.

And sure, some of the mods are great people. There are some legitimately kind and caring folks there. But that doesn’t mean everyone is.

These are the same people who thought it was fine to let me be told my life was worthless on a daily basis for months, because they didn’t want their friends in GD to think they were “protecting” me.
These are the same people who all agreed to implement a rule (the M&G no video rule), but when there was a severe backlash, they threw me under the bus. Despite constant harassment for that rule, not a SINGLE one of them did anything to help. No “hey, cut it out” to the those telling me my life is worthless due to a rule. Not even a “hang in there” to me in the back. Instead, they joined in the flaming and kept telling me that I had it coming.
These are the same people who pretended to be friends and let me vent when I was freaking out after my grandmother’s death, only to backstab me and publicly use what I said in private (and apologized for quickly) against me. And once again not a SINGLE moderator sees a problem with that. Not one person defended me.
These are the same people who began publicly spreading a blatant lie that I had been going to the discord to get them to “curate what is funny” on M&G. This hadn’t happened once, but when I defended myself, they then determined this was proof I was a terrible advocate for M&G. The entire mod team agreed and nobody wanted to question this.
These are the same people who blamed me for M&G being unmoderated (long after I wasn’t a mod), because if I truly cared about the community, I would have found a way with or without mod tools. The entire mod team seems to agree with that statement because nobody has even recognized just how insane it is to expect me to moderate without any mod tools.
These are the same people who, after I had been answering questions in Ask the Community for months and had been revamping M&G’s guide, made it where I was literally the only specialist kept isolated and not allowed to join their discord. When I pointed this out, their response was to mock me (and admit to mocking me) and declare me petty and small for thinking being literally the only one isolated might be personal. Funny though how none of them are willing to help people in ATC in my stead. Instead, they just left it alone and useless. It's easy to insult and belittle those doing a job for you, but it's much harder to actually put effort in yourself huh

Volunteering to make a community stronger is noble. Volunteering to help build it up and support people is definitely worthy of respect. But volunteering to be a glorified playground bully who spits on the face of anyone you dislike? Nah, they don’t have my respect. They have run this place into the ground, and spit in my face every time they see me. They have completely and totally run these boards into the ground.

It's been 12 hours since I pinged for a mod on Discord. I guess the mods weren't available on Monday night. Would've been nice to know that on Monday night.

There seems to be a lessening of mod activity over the last couple of weeks on general. Evangele is on this post and I saw Djinn and Prandine yesterday, but it's been kind of quiet. I'm not going to go off the deep end like rujitra, but I do wonder what's going on.

Sorry, I had things to do today as well, and, to be honest, I'm running out of patience and confidence in the reporting/enforcement systems around here. There are dozens of threads in the past week or so that should've been removed but haven't been, from posts that just say "Am I wrong?" to all-caps screaming rants to necroed threads to name-calling. If I was a mod I could delete them myself, but I'm not, and I'm tired of feeling like I put more effort into it than the actual mods do (note: "feeling like"; I'm sure the mod team works hard).
