Should old threads be locked?

An issue I have with the Story, Art and Sound board (not all the time, but often enough) is that people respond to year old + threads and drag them up the current tab. I only really use the SAS boards so I don’t know if this happens elsewhere, but it has been present to some degree every time I have visited it recently.

I don’t know if this annoys anyone else, but maybe threads older than 6 months/ a year should be locked.
