Maybe too many threads about the same topic?

Does anyone else find it kind of bothersome sometimes that multiple threads about the same topic crowd out anything else on the Hot page? Like, there's usually around three at least that talk about the same thing. As of right now, there's thirteen separate threads talking about the same thing before you hit load more... And they all say the same thing. There's no dissenting opinion or anything.

I feel like this really adds to the boards feeling like an echo chamber. I've also noticed that people will make entirely new threads to respond to existing threads instead of just responding to them. On some forums this would be considered clutter by moderation. I can really see why now. It at least cuts down on how messy the front page looks if you aren't interested in 'topic of the week,' and allows more diverse discussion to make it to more eyes at once.

Does anyone else have any issue with this? Would anyone want to see any sort of moderation regarding this? Is this even the right board? XD

Just wonder how everyone else feels.
