Boards Moderation is Absolutely Egregious
There was a post on GD (General Discussion) about the Blood Moon game mode, the original author wrote:
Just like URF, it was fun for the first rotation and now people play it like they think it's their fuckin promos out of bronze or some shit
I literally do not care about the end screen and only want to get 3 ghosts then 1shot someone
Meanwhile the entire enemy team chases me around the entire jungle just to defend their fucking ghosts, groups 5 on herald, and fucking >chases me down every single time I show up on the map
Things that ruin this mode:
- herald
- people who defend ghosts Remove herald, halve ghost hp, mode becomes playable again
Basically, complaining that people wanted to actually try and strategize to win the game mode, so I responded as follows:
Oh my God, people are utilizing a strategy to try and win a game! And that strategy isn't the same way that I feel the game should be played... better run to the Boards!"
My response was removed because it was "Low-effort comments, that do not contribute meaningfully to a discussion, are considered Spam and are against the Universal Rules. Please be mindful of this going forward, otherwise further corrective action may be taken if this is repeated."
I thought I contributed meaningfully to the discussion. What's wrong with what I said? Give me an actual, human response to what it is that is wrong with what I said. I see hundreds of examples of "low effort" responses on the Boards all the time... many posts where someone simply says "no" or "nah, not happening".
I remember when the forums/GD were a place where people could just express opinions, have debates, arguments, make sarcastic remakrs (which is what I did...) and everything was fine. I didn't call the person a name, I didn't use any pejorative language, I simply pointed out the foolishness of someone complaining about a team trying to win a game mode. Maybe the person that posted it is a moderator or is in some good graces with moderators... that would be the only conceivable explanation I can come up with.
In any event, the moderation here is absolutely inconsistent, at best, and realistically is a plate of hot garbage. I'm at the point where I really don't care if you "take further action", I've been posting for seven years and the moderation has never been so awful.
