I want to start a discussion regarding Kayle.
It's no surprise to anyone now that Kayle is really good. She has many things that many other champions could only wish they had. However, this leaves her sitting with over a 50% ban rate and win rate. Both her and Braum have surpassed Amumu in win rate (who's been on top winrate wise for a while).
It's clear to most player that Kayle needs changes - but a lot of people have a lot of differing opinions to how this should be done. At the same time, no one wants to see their favourite champions gets nerfed into the ground, so I wanted to provide a discussion forum on Kayle and what we think could be good changes for her.
I myself have a few ideas:
-
Intervention needs a mana cost and a longer cooldown. With the combination of the short cooldown on her ultimate and the movement speed on her heal, it's not hard to escape any and all ganks if you see them coming. Currently, there is no gating factor to her ultimate - it's a free ult that's pretty spammable (especially as it gains ranks) and is really, really strong. The closest thing I can think of is Tryndamere's ult, but it's gated by the fact that he can only use it on himself and the cooldown is pretty long (Rank 1 Kayle ult is the same cooldown as rank 3 trynd ult).

Divine Blessing - I almost made this section on Reckoning, but then I looked at the above point. This spell synergizes with Kayle's kit as a whole extremely well - she can use it as a decent (albeit not top tier) escape by itself (which is all you really need in mid lane). It synergizes with Reckoning very well too. The two abilities combined make Kayle very effective at chasing down a full health enemy target and beating them down. W-E is also really strong at teamfighting, due to the AOE aura, this also makes it good to chase multiple enemies through the jungle with.
Let me state that I think Kayle being able to play multiple positions is NICE (first pick Kayle is extremely effective in champ select - it's impossible to guess where she's going). I like to see that - but currently she can do all of them effectively and with little counterplay. That's what I want to see fixed.
