Why isn't there a list of all reworks and VU's and their progress?

One of my favorite things in this game is how Riot make a champion feel amazing again after becoming outdated. I believe many people love these updates due to seeing their favorite champions turn into something better mechanically or visually, or a VU/Rework. One thing I don't understand is why Riot have to be so secretive on their progress with reworks and visual updates. For example, sions full relaunch has been teased about for months, but with no true information about him besides keeping his whole lore background intact. I know it might ruin the surprise but why cant we here who they are working on the most. (Sona is on PBE but who knows how long she's been being worked on at Riot) Anyway, rito plz tell me aboot (insert older champ here) rework/VU.

This is something I'm discussing with the team. How transparent do we want to be and can afford to be?

Personally, I like to keep people at least partially in the loop to see our objectives and goals, but I also want to temper that to make sure we aren't promising something we can't deliver.

I don't think we'll ever to make some sort of like.. progress bar.. and list every champion we're working on.. That seems a bit of a tall order. However, I'd like to figure out how to share what we can share. Again, gunna talk to the team about it more.

(I also like retaining some element of surprise in terms of what we're planning on releasing)

Is Nunu in the pipeline for a VU? Or is he not popular enough of a pick to be on any sort of list?

What if there were a more extensive list, but it was more vague? Like, a more extensive champion update schedule, but with three categories:

  • Next Up: "These will be the next champions to have reworks released." In this case, it'd be sona, sion, and fiora.
  • First priority: "These are champions who we think are in dire need of an update. We're probably doing playtests of new ideas internally, but we really haven't decided what we want to do with them, and their priority may change as the state of the game changes." This would include champs like Warwick, Diana, Soraka. I'm not actually sure that those champs would be on it, because this is information that I have to guess at right now, because it's never been posted in one concise place.
  • Second Priority: "These are champions that are on our radar because they need some love, but they take the back seat to the first priority champs." This would be champs like Taric and Morde.

This way, everyone is aware that you know which champs need work, while at the same time, you're not promising any particular order or dates.

Whoa... ok... so this is going to make me look really bad at doing my job, but I didn't even know this PS page existed! This is actually pretty neat, and an interesting guideline to potentially follow. I'll take this up with the team and see what they think. I was just thinking about something like this tonight, and boom, you pointed me in the right direction!

Thanks!

Haha, I didn't know about it either until I saw Rastamon Ganja post the link earlier in this thread.

They do kinda have a list. Heres a link:

So has Sion been pushed back again? Because about a month ago, Sion was next after the Nid update, yet now according to the list he is behind Sona and Fiora.

There is an unofficial list ( i think) on here :

IIRC the reason there was no list is that if something got bumped ahead of, say, Sion, then the forums would be in a rage.

So, in other words, if they don't publicly post the list, the community can't hold them accountable for putting off the problem champions in favor of that one guy who sells a bunch of skins.
