Ideas for Graves Buffs
Keep in mind firstly that I'm not suggesting that all of these be done at once, but there are all ideas that I think could easily be implemented to help Graves become viable again. I'm also suggesting this because you mentioned buffs to lesser viable picks across the board, and Graves fits pretty heavily into this category.
- Give Graves 5 Movement speed
- With 330 movespeed and 525 auto range, he's prey to just about everything (including other marksmen) late - the extra movespeed would help with this. The only ADC with equal or lower range as Graves and lower movespeed (of the 4 champions), is Kog'Maw, who can extend his range for safety - there is very little innate safety in Graves kit for such low range. Compare this to Sivir's shield, Lucian's insane mobility, or Quinn's Leap & Ult.
- Buff Q
- Q doesn't need a huge buff, but a slight buff would be appreciated - something like lowering the mana cost on the ability to make it spammable, or making the extra shots do 5% or 10% more damage each if they all hit the same target (also allows for counterplay).
- Buff E
- A lower cooldown on this would be amazing. Allows for better seigeing and dueling, as well.
- Buff R
- This spell currently competes with Jinx's ult for "large amounts of AOE damage on-demand", except Jinx's ult wins because it's global AND has an execute on it. If you give Graves' ult an execute (and if warranted raise it's cooldown by a small amount early), you wouldn't need to fix anything else about his kit.
